Good morning Biglad, LB, SGL, Rubee and all to follow.

I watered my plants and it's time for tea. It was another very hard night to sleep. I'll not mention the temperature here, but Biglad's 28 sounds pretty chilly to me right now.

Have a nice day and se you all later.

    Morning all.

I'm going to lunch with a good friend today who lives near where I lived before I moved. She loves gardening and keeping chickens.

I didn't sleep well because there was a mozzie in my bedroom. When I woke this morning there was a small patch of red blood in my bed but I've searched all over me, no bites. I must have squashed the mozzie.

Good afternoon all. Had a nice catch up with all the rellies. Sis and BIL had a great holiday in France but it was too hot - sis even lost weight because it was too hot to eat. I have just finished cutting the outer side of my hedge. My bigger green bin is full. The inner side of the hedge can wait until tomorrow. I also lifted out my big step ladder - it seemed heavier than when I lifted it out last time (!) - and inspected the front gutter. It was quite clean and only had two small clumps of moss in it which I suspect were shifted off the roof by my little feather dusters. I moved them and hopefully that will be the last inspection needed this year.
Biglad, are you OK? Have I missed something?
Ante, I was very sorry to hear about that dreadful bus crash in Croatia. So sad for the friends and relatives of those 12 who died and the many who were injured.
Busy - rather it than you!

LB do take care when using your ladders .I am not quite as confident on mine as I used to be .
I have dug out a strip of land and made a hosta bed . It took some time but I am pleased with it .
Trying to make gardening a little easier .My next job is making a small rose bed in the back garden.
We have two Rose beds at the front of the house .Some of the roses are still in pots I will bring those round to the back .It’s very hot this afternoon, i think I have had enough for today .
Ante I was very sad to hear of the crash in Croatia.Very sad for the families.
Good to read that your SIS and BIL had a good holiday LB .Not surprised about the heat .
Enjoy the rest of your day folks .

Afternoon everyone, This morning we drove across the island to Sami and indulged in some swimming followed by a delicious seafood lunch, finding this pace of life very enjoyable 😊

LB Nice to have a catch up with your rellies this morning, glad your sis & BIL enjoyed their holiday. Sounds like a very productive session in the garden with the hedge trimmer,
SGL Hope you had a better nights sleep, fingers crossed some rain finds it’s way to your garden soon,
Rubee The new Hosta bed sounds lovely and the plans for a rose bed, glad you’ve not over done the digging today hot work 🥵
Ante I dread to think how hot it must be for you, plenty of drinks for you too,
Busy That sounds like the best outcome with the mosquito 🦟 hope you’ve had a lovely day with your friend,
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Ruby, you have been a busy bee too. A hosta bed sounds lovely. A mix of all the different types and leaf colours will look beautiful. I saw some teeny tiny hostas at the Flower Show. I think they were called Mouse Ears or something similar. It will be nice to organise your roses into a bed too. My ladders are definitely reassuringly built with hand rails the full length of each side of the steps so that I feel very stable and secure.
Oh Chive, yet another picture to make us jealous. It looks fabulous there. Nothing quite like seafood from the Med. either.

    Afternoon all.

Chive, I'm so glad that you enjoy at your holiday. Keep it going like that.

Rubee, new hosta bed will be lovely. I can't grove them here, it's too hot and dry for them.

LB, you also had a busy day. I completely understand your sister, it's quite hard to eat at high temperatures.

Today is little bit better, only 34. That bus accident yesterday was terrible. It was Polish tourists on the way to Bosnia. Yesterday was the hottest day and driver probably fell asleep. Last year was almost the same situation with Slovakian bus.

Hello all. Got a few hours in the garden though more to do. Also made pesto and rhubarb cordial and lots of plum jam from plums sent by fiancé’s workmate. Took awhile to set but looks good.
Graham is eating lots and stomping around. He loves this heat!

Ante, that is terrible news. Falling asleep at the wheel is shocking. That will not bring any consolation to the families.
Hi Debs, another busy and productive day for you. Plum jam sounds delish. My BIL's Mum used to make the most wonderful damson jam. I have never yet tasted anything quite as good. I find it difficult to source damsons.
You put a wonderful picture in my head of a tortoise with attitude. Such a different creature to the one that woke up grumpy after hibernation.
