20 big barrowloads of logs would only last me about 6 weeks! My stove is very hungry, but it belts out heat. French ceilings are only one layer of planks of wood, no carpet, so the heat goes up to the bedrooms too. And I can cook on and in it, like an Aga, except you can't control the heat so have to keep an eye on it. It looks like this:

Better day today. Spoke to all my children. Going to Son 2 tomorrow for the day. Son 1 and daughter 2 will be there. I don't see Son 1 very often, 6hrs away in Burgundy. Then next week I will stay a night with Daughter 1 near Poitiers and I'll see Daughter 2 on the 11th. It's her birthday on the 12th. That means I'll see my 14 grandchildren.

Also, the electrician is coming on Friday, at last, to fix the kitchen lighting.

Busy, I have never seen a stove like that before. I would be watching it like a hawk to make sure things didn't get overcooked or burnt. You have got a lovely family time coming up and I'm sure that seeing all those grandchildren will lift your spirits.
I am signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow. Enjoy your evenings.

Hello all hello all just popping in before work, our rain cleared yesterday to a hot sunny day by lunchtime and yes I did water my garden . So many plants are starting to droop and fade and it would be so much worse if I didn’t use the hose  occasionally. In our road we have had two major leaks pumping gallons of water into the gutters so I don’t feel guilty.
Painting @Rubee how creative, I don’t have an artistic bone in my body but admire those who do. Can’t wait to see some of your pictures.
You are all very admirable with your weight loss, I have no will power at all.
Today should be busy but out to a friend for tea tonight, lots of gossip and a glass or two of  wine.

A very good morning Debs and all to arrive later.
Debs, it sounds like a great night tonight. With Bestie being away on holiday, I was going to visit another friend this morning - the one who I used to take to Canasta until her eyesight became too bad - but I've had a text from her to say that she is unwell and is going to stay in bed. I will rearrange a visit once she is feeling better.

Good morning debs, Chive, LB and all to follow.

I was so busy last few days, so my apologies for not pop in here. Most of the time I was at cottage. Little cat is much better and he came home two days ago.
We had another rain episode, but it's again very hot. Maybe next Monday temperature will drop.
Now is time for tea. One more day with overcrowded schedule.

    Have a nice day!
