Sorry folks - the great sweet pea failure of 2022 is no mystery! I've attempted to grow them for the first time this year :oย

    Apologies - I won't do it again ;)ย

Tut Biglad! So you are to blame!
Well its a very comfortable 19ยฐC here at present with a 2% chance of rain. I think my neck of the woods has declared UDI and cut itself off from the mainland but still got red weather warnings for the beginning of next week. Hey ho.
Well I am signing out for tonight so I hope that we all get at least some sleep tonight. Have lovely evenings all of you. I think we should join SGL under her oak tree - it sounds wonderful.

You're all very welcome LB, I'm sure we could natter all night. ๐Ÿคญ

It feels cooler than last night, but still warm. Tomorrow is supposed to be a scorcher LB.
    Hope you're feeling better @Yviestevie
    @wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 hope you've had a lovely day.
Think I'll say night night too. Hope we all sleep tonight in this heat. Sweet dreams everyone.

Well it rained here last night - not a deluge but the car, drive, paths and roads are damp. Not visiting rellies today - though a trip to France would be fun! I am sick to death of the heat hysteria exhibited by the Beeb. Surely there are more newsworthy items!

Morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow.ย
Slept through the night, have woken with a muzzy head. Have been up since just after 6 so slept for quite a few hours. Easing slowly, just slept too heavy.

LB, I think they are going over the top about the weather too. It wasn't as hot yesterday as they've been saying about it all week. And it was definitely cooler last night, in fact a bit of a chilly in the air when I wondered down the garden around 10 last night.ย ย
Bet your garden smells lovely and fresh after the rain.ย  And very welcoming to your plants.ย

Good morning SGL. Sorry to hear that your head feels a bit 'heavy' this morning. A gentle start to your day - with plenty of tea of course - will help. My garden does smell delicious. I love the smell of wet soil after rain - the petrichor.

Ante, when you look in, there was talk of the various wild fires in Europe and Croatia was mentioned yesterday. I hope that you are safe where you are.
I hope Hazel had a lovely time with 23 yesterday. Can't wait to hear how the chicken was received! Hope she and her OH have got lots of energy for today!

    Good morning all.

No chilliness here. Bedroom was 30ยฐ last night, took ages getting to sleep. There was a village party with boom boom music in the hamlet to the east and a big firework display and more music in the village to the west. I watched the fireworks from the bedroom window, after midnight. I was surprised they were allowed with the heat and the forest fires. 36ยฐ today and 40ยฐ tomorrow.

This morning we are going to grandson's first Holy Communion then to lunch at Son 2's. Daughter 2 will be there, so I'll see 8 grandchildren.

    Morning all,

Rainfall overnight here as well. Not sure how much but we're still cool @Ladybird4 ;)ย

Was just doing a quick weeding/tidying session and behind my back a blackbird was helping itself to a couple of blueberries. Cheeky beggar!

The thunderstorms forecast for Wednesday have disappeared from our BBC forecast. Shame - I was hoping for a good soaking for the garden.

That's funny @Biglad, we had thunderstorms forecast for Wednesday too but they have also disappeared.
