Evening all, A bit on the shattered side tonight. Spent most of the day gardening (when will I learn). Summer pruned a lot of the roses that had finished their first flush and removed a lot of blackspot leaves then gave them a good feed. Washed the roots of the plant that had the ants nest and re-potted it in nice new compost. It's now back in the conservatory with lots of ant spray surrounding it. Deadheaded the perennials and fed veg, clematis, agapanthus and cannas. Then I cleaned the bird feeding station and washed the garden furniture down.
Hubby cooked a lovely meal of salmon in chilli, new pots, beans and peas all from the garden.
I'm now relaxing after a nice hot shower hoping I can walk tomorrow.
Glad you had a good holiday @punkdoc and the sing-song sounds like just the tonic.
I've been guessing everyone has been very busy (and you most certainly have been @Yviestevie ! - had to find Forkers on page 2!
We had a lovely trip out to a new garden centre yesterday which was very well stocked. Managed to find some plants to fill the gaps in the borders and bought a classic scarlet pelargonium for my dear SIL as we called in there on the way back. She was delighted and we had a good old catch up as they have been in France for the past few months.
Managed to get most of the plants in the garden today and then OH and I gave it all a good watering. And I didn't forget the planters I look after in town - they got a watering and a feed too. I bought a beautiful rose - Forever Royal (for the Jubilee) - that went into a planter in the communal garden. It is looking gorgeous - lots of lovely (slightly scented) purple flowers and lots more to come. Must get a picture of it.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ 12C Blue skies, high white fluffy clouds and sunshine here in Norfolk … we’ve had some rain overnight which is perfect.
Son visited yesterday to collect a new guitar which had been delivered here … it was just as he’d wanted so was very happy and we had a little musical interlude while he tried it out;then we had a stroll around the garden so he could exclaim dutifully on the wondrous Swiss chard, stupendous squashes and beautiful beans 😂 and then he was measured for a new winter jumper as I’m almost ready to start a new one. After he’d gone there was a lot of tennis to watch … I just about managed to stay awake to see the end of the Djokovic match.

No probs Dove. The weather is north of Sydney, not down here. Just very cold on my hands. They are frozen from getting damp socks and underpants off the line. 😳
You’ve read my mind, Dove. That’s exactly what I’m doing while knitting and watching the last hour of last night’s Tour (still in Denmark). We gave up last night and recorded it. 😁
Morning everyone, I saw the flooding on the news last night glad you are OK @Pat E. Good to hear about the holiday @punkdoc more gardening for me today.

Nice to wake up in my own bed this morning, but sad not to have a sea view and the prospect of wandering down to our own private beach.
