Good you don't have to have work done @Hostafan1 - but a shame really as you won't see your Stunningly Gorgeous dentist until your next check up now. I might feed my Agapanthus after I've had my shower.Â
I've finished weeding the round rose bed, fed the roses, watered them added a thick compost mulch and watered again. The soil is very solid just there, clay, even though I dug in loads of compost and donkey manure before planting. The roses were very battered in the hail but they've started growing new leaves and shoots.
Then OH said he'd like to take me out to lunch so we went to a local restaurant down by the river, a lovely spot, tables on an outside shady terrace and we had a good but simple lunch, sweet peppers stuffed with tuna mayonnaise, pork fillet with mushroom sauce and rice, then strawberries with Chantilly cream. Only 16€, £13.75. I'd wanted to try it for some time but it was shut during the Covid lockdowns and OH hasn't been in France for a year and a half.
Then we went to the SM for the weekly shop. Watched Gardener's World (recorded) after we'd put the shopping away.
I've enjoyed today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I know we don't usually comment on politics here, just watching the evening news . Javid AND Sunack have both resigned from the Gov't . That's 2 top level positions. Fingers crossed for more to come.Â
Hello again everyone. Managed to read back all the late June posts last night but yet to try catch up here. Having read the last few posts here may I add my congratulations to young Charlie, brilliant news and my very best wishes for his future. Also a late Happy Birthday to @Pat E's daughter, hope she enjoyed her meal with her brother. Awful news about the flooding in Sydney, we have distant family over there but news from them takes a long while to filter down through the family, just hoping they are ok. Hope @punkdoc had a good holiday and is now feeling a lot better and well on the way to a full recovery. @Hostafan1 did you get your supper sorted ok? Off now to read through July for a final catch up.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Methinks I didn't follow my own advice about feed after flowering last year.
Well done, Charlie, @D0rdogne_Damsel
