Didy, the snakes wont emerge from their burrows until the weather is warm, so it’s a good time now to get the garden ready. 👏👏

Had a lovely email from daughter. She signed up for a free workshop on tips for hanging baskets, run in the business park she works in. Very surprised and pleased to have come home ( on the bus!) with an ‘edible’ hanging basket full of peas, courgettes and herbs. What a lovely idea!

    Morning all.

Lovely day here so doing some garden bits (ok mainly drinking coffee) before tennis this afternoon (watching, not playing, just to clarify).

    Have a good day all.

Hello again ... I'm back from the farm shop and butcher and have picked up my prescription. I got a chicken for Sunday as I can cook that in the Crockpot and not have the oven on, and as well as Sunday's meal it'll also provide some salads for later in the week. Somehow a punnet of local raspberries and a tub of locally made ice cream fell into my trolley  :o

I was later setting off than planned as DS phoned to apologise for hurridly ending a phone call yesterday ... apparently Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs was ringing him ... 'You like him don't you mum?' ... I agreed that I do, but said 'You'd better not tell him ... you're a great big bloke with a grizzled beard ... it won't do his ego any good for him to know he appeals to your mum' 🤣

Evening all, just been out and watered all the pots, hard work in a big garden on different levels, thought I'd got rid of a lot earlier in the year. Now I've forgotten which roses got fertiliser and which ones I forgot to do.

Enjoy your weekend everybody, we're looking forward to seeing the grandchilden and having a triple birthday celebration.

Brilliant tennis today! Absolutely loved the wheelchair men’s doubles just now - fantastic results for GB.

Did anyone have flying ants and/or a mass of seagulls today?? I spotted both, at a similar time, but thought it was just because it was so warm. Apparently the seagulls go mad for the ants and get intoxicated eating them! Fact of the day!

    Night all.

Hi, we survived Hampton Court,  what a day Scorchio!🥵
I  agree that Sue Kent's garden was great,  very popular and busy we nearly missed it , and had to backtrack.  Sorry no pictures I find phone camera almost impossible to use in bright sunlight   you can't see what you are trying to take.
We managed to say hello to @chicky at the plant creche.

Was so lovely to meet @Allotment Boy  and his lovely family 😀😀😀😀.  But his Scorchio assessment is spot on.  Was pretty hectic in the plant crèche - airless and busy, plus a chaotic numbering system that completely blew my logical, number loving brain.  Needles and haystacks come to mind.  Still, at the end of the day everyone was reunited with their treasures, so alls well etc etc.

Garden Club Show and plant sale here tomorrow so another early start and busy day.  But littlest Chicklet is home for the weekend and is going to come and help me, so that makes me very happy 😃
