That’s what we saw 😀😀😀.  Made a right racket.

Was working in London one year when the Farnborough air show was on.  There had obviously been some low flying/ vibrating-ey types around because when I got home that evening all the cars in the station car park had their alarms going off.

Just watered the garden, don't feel guilty as I driven past 2 burst mains leaks with nothing being done for over a week recently. The way I see it, my garden is an oasis in a dessert of uncaring town Life so I'm providing a vital service! All frogs have had they puddle pools topped up and all bird baths have been refreshed... Now to hide in the basement!
I hope tomorrow is more tolerable for you @AuntyRach!!!
Goodnight all and just like Fonzy, Stay cool!! 😎

I’ve just had a cool shower … when I came to bed I found a chilled not hot water bottle OH had put in the fridge … bless him
hed put it on my side for me … problem is the stopper needs a new rubber washer .., there’s a damp patch on my side of the bed  … bless him 🤣 … at least it’s nice and cool ⛄️

Night night folks … if I can’t sleep I’ll go downstairs and watch the athletics … they start at 1am. You can join me if you like …

Sleep well @Dovefromabove! We had our friends all turns up, suddenly remembering our sitting room is in the basement.... They are threatening to move in until the heat wave is over!! 🤣😱

And here,  it was 34 when I went to Allotments to water, 30 when I came back, not a breath of wind. Mrs AB did the watering at home, while I was at plots.  We managed to keep the lounge down to 26 all day.

@Hostafan1 was actually feeling sweaty today!  Albeit in his polytunnel but even so - wonders will never cease.
Watered the pots, got wet, sluiced myself down with cold water and put my nightie on.  Now for bed.
Covid test taken today was negative and now it's cooled down a tad I actually feel OK.
Hope everyone can get some sleep tonight.
    Night night.

    Hi all

Moved out of our bedroom at midnight, moved out of spare room at 0400, moved outside at 0500, lovely outside, low 20's. Exhausted, but hopefully sleep during the day.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
we slept quite well, all things considered … I had no cover at all and OH just had a light blanket over him. We woke a few times for a cool drink and a trip across the landing, but other than that we slept until around 5:30. Now all the windows are shut, the blinds are closed and the door from the cool garage into the house is open.
OH is working today … there’s air con in the shop so he’ll be fine. I’ll do some watering, make a potato salad then stay on the sofa and watch the athletics.
I’m knitting a big chunky winter sweater for my son … it’s been like having a blanket on my lap … thankfully I’m doing the sleeves now 😊

It was the hottest day ever in Sheffield yesterday and they say we will beat that today. Expecting 41C apparently.
It takes a while for this house to heat up, thick stone walls, but now it has, it is far too hot. Shame the pond and stream have dried up, because I would be in.
Be careful everyone, I like some heat, but this is too much.
