Lovely beans you two. I might plant some this spring if I finish getting a bed ready. I’ve made a start on one bed, but the soil has been hard to dig what with frozen soil etc.  I do a little bit when I go past and Pixel tries to help, but it’s a bit frustrating.

Charlie is really  growing up. 😁

we’ve got some rain this morning. Interesting. There hasn’t been any for ages.

Hosta, I keep thinking about you.  Hope you’re ok. It must be SO hard for you to keep positive.  I’m sending my special wishes to you over the distance.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Love the rainbow @Pat E  😊 what’s the big shed for?

Overcast and a comfy 17C here
… there’s still an unseasonal swirling breeze … but it’s cooler than it was. I was saying to OH only last week that this summer has seemed unusually windy. I’ll have to ask our sailing neighbours if they agree. Apparently the fire brigades are saying that it was the swirling wind that made the fires so difficult to fight as they spread in several directions at once.

OH has two longer days now, he’ll probably be leaving just before 8 and not back until 6 … so an earlier start here today.

As far as I can tell Dove, the five bay shed is for junk.😡.
There is a tractor, a ride-on mower, chain saws and lots of other things including (from memory) some of my old assignments from University days 😳😡. I keep suggesting we have a clean out, but there is lots of resistance to the idea. One day!

Oh they’ll be useful one day @Pat E … one day there’ll be something you really need in there … you never know when junk will come in handy 😉

There was an old chap on the edge of the village who had a barn stuffed with every old car, tractor and piece of machinery he’d ever had on the farm. His family used to moan and say the shed was wasted space … but when he died they raised a fortune selling all the stuff off to collectors. 😂

    Hi all

    It is raining here, hooray.
Sadly it is also raining in Leeds where we are going, boo.
Hope it stops by the time we get there.

    Morning all.

It's cooler after the storm, 20° going up to 27° this afternoon.

I'm going to do some weeding in the veg garden then we are going to lunch in the local restaurant by the river.

OH goes back to Norfolk on Tuesday. Should be Wednesday but there is a train strike. He's had a letter from the small private hospital giving him an appointment with the surgeon on the 2nd August. The surgeon also works at the NHS hospital. I hope he can arrange something.

Must go and hang out the washing, sheets.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
