@Dovefromabove Oh Margot!!! Are you wearing your special yellow rubber gloves?
I had to bring in some cabbage and broccoli seeds that I sowed last Friday - worried they might get boiled. Too hot outside although I had them in the shade. Cooler indoors.
The most wonderful Sunday so far .... Started with a text to say no usual step kids guests for dinner.... Love them but I never get a weekend off without cooking elaborate meals....
After that we stayed in bed with bacon sandwiches and coffee watching a whole season of Allo Allo..... Never get tired of it!
Took a homemade steak and ale pie to mother in law that had been craving red meat, helped empty her kitchen for the kitchen fitters to do her new one tomorrow, now sat in the garden in a through draft that's blissful.... I'm easily pleased I know but it's rarely achieved! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday too!
I'm so pleased you've had a lovely Sunday @WonkyWomble I visited Hubby , came home and snuggled under my 15 tog duvet then went back to sleep for 2 hours. I've watered both polytunnels and had a nice rest on the sun lounger. Dinner is leftover Chicken satay curry from last night so no effort there either.
We've had a lovely day with Son 2 and Daughter 2 and 8 of my grandchildren. DIL's brother, wife and 2 daughters were there too. Started with 1st holy communion service for 8yr old grandson, then we went to Son's house and had a BBQ and salads for lunch. The children spent a lot of time in their pool and even I had a swim. It was a hot day and we had lunch under the enormous lime tree in the garden.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sounds like everyone had a lovely Sunday. And so glad @Hostafan1 managed to keep warm and get some rest. OH has taken over the watering, I'm in for the cup of tea he made me while it was my shift.
Just completed what seems like a 4 day marathon, so much going on at the moment. All good, but exhausting.
Anyway, on a quiet campsite now with Charlie, just for two days, he's staying the week. A Dutch site, so many Dutch, and been wonderful to watch the kids dancing around. Lovely pool, and nice countryside, a couple of very quiet days ahead.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
