Apparently Alaska shouldn't look like this. An early morning view from our balcony.

That sea looks beautifully calm - like mercury in appearance. Let's hope it stays like that for your whole trip T'Bird.

Hi folks,  Looks like you are having a fabulous trip @Topbird.  Some lovely photos on here today.  I've been sorting out watering the garden and also went to slimming club.  Lost another 4lb long may it continue.

Afternoon everyone, It's been schorchio today......and still is very very warm.
Picked up loppers and had a mooch round HB. They had lots of plants half price, mainly annual bedding/hanging basket plants, all very healthy.  But I found some lovely Dianthus half price too and  bought a couple of those. Have popped them in pots for now, will put them in a border later. Then walked to S@*^$bu*^$ and got a few essentials and salad bits.
Have relaxed in the garden this afternoon.
@Songbird-1 what a beautiful garden, stunning colours and all so healthy. Beautiful 😍
@Topbird glad you're enjoying your holiday, lovely pics thank you for sharing.  Rather you than me though on dingy
@Yviestevie congratulations on your slimming progress.

Well done @Yviestevie. Losing weight isn't easy.

I've spent about 5 hours in the garden today, weeding, edging, tying up, dead heading and watering. Tired.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Well done on the weight loss Yvie.
SGL, I like mooching around shops like HB. There is always something that you don't really need but you would love to have!
I am signing out for tonight so I'll see you all tomorrow. I am having my hair done first thing tomorrow at my Bestie's and my friend from Crewe is coming up to have her hair done after me. She will be stopping over with me tomorrow night as we have got our next Quizzers meal on Friday. Enjoy your evenings.

Thanks for all your support re weight loss. Just a quick question re roses.  Is anyone having a problem with blackspot this year. Virtually all my roses have it to some degree and I was very careful removing all the old leaves gave them a mulch and feed early in the year.  Don't normally have this problem.
