@Songbird-1 OH didn't sit out for long even though we were under the oak tree. It's beautiful outside now.
Hope you feel better before bedtime

Hi folks, El Scorchio here today.  30 degrees which is a bit hot for me when I have the boys to look after especially as the air con in my car is currently not working.
I have a lousy cold which is making things feel worse.  My bestie phoned yesterday to say she had tested positive for COVID, the only symptom she has is a runny nose and she only tested because she was going to a 90th birthday party.  I've tested twice and it's been negative despite having a temperature, a cough, tight chest, horrible headache and aching all over.  Unbelievable.
Have the boys again tomorrow afternoon so hope I feel a bit better.
Enjoy the weather everyone but be sensible.

@Yviestevie so sorry you are feeling so poorly, do hope you stay testing negative for covid. Take care. Hope your friend get well soon.

It's still very hot here this evening, the windows and patio doors are still open wide.
Night night everyone, hope we're all able to sleep tonight. See you in the morning.

    Good morning to all.

Yvie, so sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly. Hope you will stay negative and all will soon pass.

I was at cottage yesterday, and miraculously my sister was with me. She even done some weeding. Weather is still nice and not too hot. Next heat wave will come soon, but it will be short one. It's interesting how different we percept hot or cold.

Now is time for tea and book.

Good morning  Ante and  Rosie and all to follow.
I slept well too, but woke about 5.30 as its so very hot. I'm downstairs with a cup of tea now. Just seen a small deer in the garden nibbling the plum tree🤦‍♀️ I opened the patio doors and it bounded down the garden and jumped over into the field like it was on springs. Always amazes me how high they jump.
@Ante1 how lovely to spend time at the cottage with your sister.  And that she helped you do some weeding 😉
Hope it doesn't get too hot today, are you going to the cottage today or are you having a relaxing day at home.
@wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 glad you slept well,  are you going to see mum and dad today.
It feels quite muggy this morning and is very cloudy. Forecast for the weekend is extremely hot 🥵

    Good morning all.

It will be hot again today but it's cool now so I've opened the windows.

Not sure yet what we'll be doing today, probably too hot for weeding.

@Yviestevie what you have sounds more like Covid than a cold. Maybe take another test? Best to blow your nose first. Can you put Nana duties off for today?

A very good morning all. Guess who slept in today? I didn't get back from the quiz until very late. My excuse! The quiz was interesting. I hadn't realised that it was a serious match in a quiz league. Think I told you I was filling in for a team member who is a bit poorly at the moment. There were only two teams (of four people) last night and I was the only female. Once I got over the rules and regulations I really enjoyed myself - even the individual rounds! Our team had its first win in one and a half years so they decided I was their talisman! Ha ha. Anyway, I would do it again if they needed me. Oh and we had food at the end.
Got to go down to Handy Brother's with some more plants for him this morning. By the way, I forgot to tell you that Just Joey and Rhapsody in Blue roses have been flowering for him so they have moved happily.

Yvie, I hope that you feel better soon.
SGL, its getting a bit warmer here today. Luckily the roe deer here cannot get into my garden.
Ante, I smiled when I read your post about your sister helping you weed - that's what we sisters do for our brothers! Seriously it must have been so nice to have her on holiday with you. Did she have a lovely time out with your parents?
Hazel, pleased to hear that the carpet arrived but you do sound tired so take things easy today.
Biglad, keep on keeping on - you can do it!
Right, I better get a wriggle on. See you all later and enjoy your mornings.

Good morning LB, Bussy and SGL.

LB, they had a lovely time, and even better that restaurant have my veggies. She helped me a lot, but I needed to listen "my nail are dirty", "something touched me", and so on and on.  🤣

SGL, I'll have rest today and tomorrow my aunt and uncle will come, and we will go to lunch all together. But no worry, I done a lot yesterday, harvested french beans and chard, and abundantly water my veggies.

Here is not hot, it's warm, and during the day is around 30℃, which is acceptable.
