  • Morning all.  Slept at Rubees as was frightened.  it’s been going on quite some while and escalating.   Back this morning to have breakfast and freshen up.  I’ve had a further sleep.  Just going to make some tea.

Tah dah! Well gate is now in bits in a neat pile on the drive - ready for removal to the tip. Handy brother was talking about hiring a skip so I did say I would split the cost with him because I could take my stuff down there to get rid of it. I'll ring him tonight to find out what he has decided.
I was hugely entertained in my task by toddler Sadie from next door. She loves to know what is going on. I was able to chat with her Mum as well of course.
Ante, I hope that you have had a very enjoyable meal with your rellies. The position of the restaurant sounds idyllic.
Chive, it will have been nice having a girly meet up with your Mum and sis today.
T'Bird, just to make you jealous (maybe) it has reached the maximum temperature of 19°C here today. A wonderful temperature for working in. I've loved it! I have to say that I haven't tried putting my duvet in Lily's TV but you have sown the seeds! Thanks.
Rosie, I'm sorry that something is frightening you and making sleeping so difficult for you.
    Another cuppa is now required!

LB - I am jealous of your 19C. It's now 31.5C here and seems incredibly airless. Can't quite believe it's going to get several degrees hotter in a few days.

I managed a couple of hours light gardening earlier and then had to wrestle camping mattresses  back into zipped fitted sheets. They're a brilliant invention and make life easy on the road but putting the sheets on is a bit like wrestling an anaconda. Completely pooped now but I'll keep going for another hour and then stop.

LB - well done on getting your gate sawn up. Re the duvets - I can only put single duvets in my machine. If you have a double or king-size you should take it to the launderette where they have industrial sized machines.

Rosie BB - I am sorry to hear you are having such disturbed nights. If there is something actually happening to frighten you I hope it is resolved very soon. If it is more a general feeling of unease with no real cause that can be very distressing and I hope it passes.

Thank you T'Bird. My duvet is a double and it won't go into my machine without making in impossible to add any washing liquid or water for that matter. It is actually cheaper to buy a new duvet than have an old duvet laundered. Love the idea of wrestling an anaconda - not literally of course!
Handy brother rang and as I suspected he was havering about hiring the skip until later than I wished so I have loaded a mountain of stuff - including the bits of the gate into the boot of my car ready for a tip trip tomorrow morning. It opens at 09:00 so I'll aim for getting there early doors.

Evening everyone 🥵 Had a nice chat with mum & sis this morning,
@wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 Oh Rosie I’m so sorry to read that you have been feeling frightened that’s awful, I hope that the cause can be resolved sending you a big hug 🤗
LB Goodness you have been a busy bee today very satisfying to get so much done, glad the temperature was more comfortable to work in,
Topbird I had to smile at your description of wrestling with the camper van bedding, glad you won in the end! it made me think of getting a sleeping bag back into its compression bag just impossible 😖 son always comes home from fishing with it loose 😁
Must do some watering now, have a nice evening everyone.

    Good evening everyone.

Rosie, I'm so sorry to read that you were frightened. Really hope that everything will be ok.

LB, have a nice tip trip tomorrow. Sorry to hear that you must do it alone.

Chive, I'm gčad that you had a nice chat with Mum and sister. Enjoy watering garden.

We had a really lovely lunch. I know that restaurant well, and it's cozy and rustic. River Gacka is famous among sport fisherman, because it have plenty of trout. We ate, of course, grilled trout and it was delicious. Lovely spent afternoon. Now is time to rest and probably to read.

    Here is photo of restaurant.

Ante that is a beautiful situation there. What a stunning view.Enjoy your reading. That is what I am going to do in a moment as yet again there is nothing I want to watch on TV. By the way, there is method in my madness as one of my very favourite garden centres is right next to the tip so I will definitely be going for a mooch in there after I get rid of all the c**p.
Chive, so pleased you had a good natter this morning. No Hazel, Yvie or Debs today. I hope Yvie is feeling a bit better.

p.s. Gosh Hazel, just spotted your post - I had only mentioned I hadn't seen you today. Glad everything is OK - apart from the plants. My katsura tree is completely leafless now and when I walk down that end of the garden the dried up leaves scrunch beneath my feet, releasing their delicious candyfloss scent. Night night again all.
