I understand what you are saying Busy. I have always had a problem eating meat .My uncle was a butcher . I can’t say anymore .
Hazel, last night I had a spill .I get acid reflux . I was reaching up into a cupboard to get some
Aviscon when the lid came off, the  medicine went all over the kitchen floor .Took me an age to get all the gloopy medicine up .At bedtime ,my usual routine ,wash ,clean teeth and comb hair .Got up this morning ,I had forgotten to comb my hair last night .You would have thought I had sprayed half a can of of hairspray on the front of my hair ,it was like stiff straw .I must have been tired I didn’t notice.

Good evening all. I had my early morning dash to 'sco and forgot two of the most important things - I hadn't put them on the list so my fault. Luckily oit is not a critical 'miss' and will do for next time. The sun finally appeared and I was able to get Lily's TV in motion before the tennis started. Busy, I wanted Jabeur to win too. Maybe next year. I didn't think she deserved to win though as she played some very wild shots.
I am watching the mens doubles now - your countrymen Ante playing an Australian pair. We are supposed to be going into the oven as well next week - time will tell. Sorry to hear about the deer damage. You need some scarecrows in your field. Alternatively you could try electronic deer scarers if you know of anyone who has them.
Busy, sorry to hear about your cough and I can sympathise, having had one - on and off - for over 5 years. With all your lovely veggie plants you sound as if you are going into competition with Ante
Oh dear Ruby. I bet you caught the spilling off Hazel. Hope your hair has recovered now.
I am a little perturbed at the moment. My buddlejas are all in flower, echinops almost there, yet I haven't seen one bee or butterfly anywhere near them. Is anyone else experiencing this lack of pollinators in their garden?

Hi folks, sounds like everyone has been busy.  I've been on Nanna Duty for a couple of days, both with extra late nights as Secondborn held an art exhibition of all the students work on one night and it was the school prom on the second night.
Today I sorted out a few things in the garden including pruning Nelly Moser and Magic Carpet.  Secondborn came over with Mabel and we sat in the garden chatting while Mabel did some painting and fished for tadpoles (still quite a few in the pond).
I've just picked some peas and beans for dinner.  Mabel had a great time emptying a potato bag.  Got quite a few so we'll be having new potatoes for dinner too.

Hello there Yvie. It sounds to me as if you have had by far the busiest of days.
I forgot to say that I hope Chive has a wonderful 'Blues' night. I love dressing up, as do all my family. We got used to it with all of our February themed holidays.
I am signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow. Enjoy whatever you are doing this evening.

    Good evening everyone.

LB and Bussy, I'm always in the mood for some friendly competition. Bussy, hope all your veggies thrive.

It's lovely evening. I slept almost whole afternoon, and it was refreshing. First french beans delivery is done and I'm quite happy about that. Now is time for dinner and some more rest. 😁

I can't compete with you @Ante1, my veg patch is much smaller than yours, 12m × 7m.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Bussy, I want only that we all succeed in growing veggies and flowers. Hope you will enjoy in many homegrown veggies.

Just sow forecast for next week. It seems that we all will be in the same problem, even in south of UK will be over 35℃.

    Morning everyone,
I've been awake since just before four,  can't get back to sleep, so I've come downstairs for a cup of tea.
There's a thick haze over the field and the very end of the garden. The sun is rising through the trees, It's going to be a hot day.
Hope you're all in the land of Nod.
  • Good morning Lily and all to follow.  Poor you Lily I do hope you get some rest today.  Just made some tea and bright sunshine.
