Good afternoon all. Hazel, you brought a big smile to my face with your funny post
Morning all,  old and windy here( well that's normal, isn't it?).
Thanks for the reassurance about the blood tests. I am pleased to hear that the beast is no more. I hope you told your son that you and your OH had made the job easy for him by doing most of the preparatory work

@Songbird-1 you must be so pleased it's finally out. Hope  plants are happy in their new 'bed'
Hazel I couldn't see your typo, perhaps it was the ramming rod 🤷‍♀️
@Chivetalking I don't have tonic with my gin I have lemonade or bitter lemon.  My favourite is strawberry gin and lemonade with a couple of small strawberries in too 😉

Have cut the grass this afternoon, I'm worn out now. It's actually quite hot today too. So nice to have the sunshine.

Sorry Biglad but your promise of summer didn't last very long I'm afraid. I blame it on the raindancers charging up and down the wicket at Trent Bridge, It isn't actually raining as yet - just looking a bit threatening. Monty and Adam always say to place your plants in their pots in situ and move them around until you are happy with how they look then plant them out.
Ruby, sorry that your OH had a broken night's sleep. I think we all know how wearing that can be.
Rosie, glad you had a nice visit. I bet they were glad to see you.
Busy - good news from France - apart from the little critter that nibbled the strawberries. A rabbit possibly?  Not long now until your next trip.
Chive I was in my garden all morning. I managed to do a lot of weeding and took the muck bucket full down and emptied it into the new compost bin. I was careful about the stuff that went into the compost bin - but as it turned out not careful enough. I spent a good ten minutes searching for my trowel and gloves, eventually tracing back to the compost bin and sure enough, there the items were. I'm a twonk! I planted out Leucanthemum 'Madonna', Gaillardia, more Lychnis, Achillea and Polemonium.

SGL, I've quoted Hazel's typo. Nothing to do with a ramming rod though!

    Evening All,
LB Sounds as though you’ve had a good session in the garden lots planted, oops lucky that you found where your trowel & gloves had got to 🤭
SGL You did well to cut the grass I bet it’s been growing away with all the rain, strawberry gin & lemonade sounds nice,
Sorry Rosie I missed both yours & Busys posts earlier, I’m glad you had a nice visit to your mum & dads I’m sure they will have enjoyed it just as much. It has been a lovely day here thank you with a nice breeze,
Busy Enjoy the BBQ with your friends, shame about the loss of the strawberries atleast some of the other plants have remained untouched 🤞
Dove I hope your OH is feeling better,

Yes thank you @Chivetalking 😊 … he’s better hurrah 😃 … morning coffee supply was resumed, and he went to work today … should be back any minute now. I think it must’ve been some sort of tummy bug.

I’ve been in the garden most of the day … it’s been very sunny but I wish the wind would drop just a tad. It’s very blustery.

I’ve put a fresh bottle of tonic in the fridge 😇 😉
