You are a really good neighbour @Rubee. Thank goodness you were there for him.
We went to the SM this morning for tomorrow's lunch and I went to WH Smith for books for my grandsons who are learning English. I am really proud of Henry. He will be 7 next week and he has been playing tennis in the 8 - 10 year old section. He has just become Dordogne Champion in that group.
We will be having Sea Bass with roast vegetables, sweet peppers, aubergine, courgettes and rice.
I've cut the box hedge. It looked awful last autumn, box blight, and it still looked pretty ropey in April when I arrived here. I've been spraying it every 2 weeks and it looks almost back to normal and has made quite a lot of new growth.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Drat and darn! I had written a post and must have forgotten to save the draft as it has disappeared.
Chive, you would be very welcome on our trip to I**a too. Have a peaceful night.
Busy you must be so proud of your grandson playing in an older section too - bien fait Henry! Your planned meal sounds delicious. I am very fond of sea bass. I'm sure it will go down very well with the young ladies! I hope that your TLC of your hedge keeps the dreaded box blight at bay.
I haven't seen Rosie since her breadmaking comment so I hope that she has managed to squeeze in some sleep. Mind you that might make her even more awake tonight.
I am signing out too. I am going to give that new drama on the Beeb a whirl. See you all tomorrow.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening everyone, A virtual trip to Ikea sounds perfect. I love a mooch round the Market place. Thank you @Songbird-1 and @Ladybird4. @debs64 that looks a lovely trolley full of goodies. Bottles look perfect for Elderberry cordial. Gorgeous shrubs Hazel and LB lovely shades of pink. @Rubee oh my goodness what a worrying night for you all. Such very kind neighbours, I bet Jim's family are very grateful to you both. Shame the paramedics didn't take him to hospital anyway, especially at his age and after spending all night on the floor waiting for them to arrive. Hope you and OH get a good nights sleep tonight. @Biglad that's a bargain and certainly very healthy. 🪴 @Busy-Lizzie you must be extremely proud of your grandson. Hope the box hedge survives.
Oh heck minds gone blank, sorry if I've missed anyone.
I have decided not to make any plans for today as yet. Waiting for the weather to make up its mind as well. I have had an explosion of Green Alkanet in the back garden that needs tackling. Anyone got any dynamite?

Morning @Ladybird4 and all to follow. We have sunshine here again, I do hope it's here to stay all summer now. Didn't sleep that well again although slightly better than the night before.
Hope you manage to get rid of the Alkanet LB, is it very bad. Need a cup of tea ☕☕
Good Morning LB & SGL and all to follow, Hope the weather is kind to you today LB, I could swap you some creeping Jenny 😊 SGL Sorry to hear you are still not sleeping very well, I’ll join you for a cuppa 🍵 Hope Rosie is ok and Rubee & OH had an undisturbed night, Have a good day everyone.
Good morning SGL and Chive. I don't dislike Alkanet and the bees love it but it is just such a thug. If left to its own devices it would rule the world I think. (I have the same thoughts about Creeping Jenny). The roots must reach down to Australia so I just try and keep on top of it by hoiking out as much as I can.
SGL, All I want for C*******s is a good night's sleep! I seem to wake up at about 03:00ish each morning. With a bit of luck I do get back to sleep until about 05:00ish but after that I just get up. Time for another cuppa I think so I'll join you SGL.
