Hazel I feel quite washed out.  I’m sorry to hear you,re not feeling well, not very good when you’ve traipsed round the shops.  You rest now and unwind.  Sometimes the wind can be rather rough with plants but hooefully they will recover and the wind will stop.  I’ve done some ironing just about to plug the cape in for a snuggle.

Taken a few minutes ago .I deliberately made the pics small and they are still on their side?

Rosie I have sent you a message . Sorry to read that you feel washed out .

Rubee - pics are small but your garden is perfectly formed🙂 Looks beautiful.

Currently in the airport lounge waiting to fly. Flight is delayed by a couple of hours but we're quite comfy with free drinks etc available so it's no big deal. With a bit of luck the later start might mean we'll both be able to have a little zuzz before they kick us off in Vancouver at 5am body clock time. Saved over £25 on the High Street price of my favourite perfume in the Duty Free so we're off to a good start!

Afternoon everyone, late in today and new Rez with a beautiful opening picture LB I would love sitting there in that garden,
Pleased that your session at the food bank went well, shame about the weather when you finished, but I hope you’ve enjoyed a better day today in your garden,
Rubee Your garden is looking beautiful too, such a lot of colour and greenery it is very inviting. Pleased to hear that the procedure went well for OH at the hospital, but not for your awful journey home after. I hope this treatment combined with the painkillers really helps to make him feel more comfortable,
Rosie Sorry to see you are feeling washed out, I hope you’ve had a good rest today and had something to eat take care of yourself 🤗
Hazel I hope you are rested from your excursion round the shops, I find stores tiring especially if you have different floors to navigate round. Hope all goes well with the beast extraction tomorrow 🤞
SGL Sorry to see you had another disturbed nights sleep, it’s exhausting if you don’t get a proper rest and stops your motivation to do anything. Hope your sleep pattern soon improves,
Busy So pleased to see that OH has been given a date at long last and you can make plans to go back to France together and then return for the operation. Enjoy your visit to the walled garden,
Topbird 🛫 All ready for the off, must be feeling very excited now your travels are starting, wishing you a safe journey there and have a wonderful time 😊
Debs I hope work went well this afternoon and those customers were appreciative of your service,
Mum had her consultation yesterday, we now have to decide if she wants to go ahead with what will be a major operation to remove the bar, realign the femur bone as it’s misshapen or live with the disfigured leg that she now has. Not much of a choice and I think it’s likely that mum will not want to go through that again, a few more conversations to be had about how to proceed. Anyway it’s the weekend and the weather has been smashing today, so I’m very grateful for that 😊
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Here you go Ruth. Your stunning garden the right way up!

Gorgeous picture and thank you for sharing.
Hazel and Rosie I'm sorry to hear you are both feeling shattered. It is probably the fault of the 'beast' in Hazel's case. Take things easy the pair of you for a few days.
Bon voyage T'Bird. Looking forward to any snippets from 'T'Bird's Travelogue'. Have a wonderful time. Bargain perfume and how many gins can you possibly drink!
Busy, not my garden - I only wish! Hope you have enjoyed your walled garden trip.

Chive, I can understand your Mum's hesitancy. Personally, I would have it done and keep my fingers crossed that there weren't any slip ups. The weekend weather is forecast to be nice so fingers crossed you can enjoy it.

Sorry you are both feeling under the weather @Songbird-1 and Rosie. Hope you feel better tomorrow after a good night's sleep.

We had a lovely day out today at Holkham Hall walled garden ( @Dovefromabove ), then we went to Wells-Next-the-Sea. We had crab and cockles from a seafood stall, sitting on a low wall watching the boats. The we had a cider in one of the village pubs. Not holiday season yet so found a car parking place quite easily.

I've put photos of the garden here. https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1061566/garden-visits-2022
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • LB I hope Lily and you have enjoyed the sunshine today you hopefully may sleep better.  Chive lots to think about for mum.  I can understand mum not wanting to have an operation so sorry this happened at all.  Plenty to talk about.  Busy so pleased oh has his hip operation scheduled and you can plan your time together now.  Chive hope you can have a relaxing weekend with some warmer weather.  Top bird have a lovely holiday and a good journey.

Lovely pictures of your visit Busy. They brought back many memories for me as I went there with my Mum one holiday - there was a fair on and Mum bought a lovely teaset. We too went to Wells-next-the-Sea. Fascinating watching all the youngsters crabbing. We went on a boat ride to see the seal colonies which was quite magical.
