@Lizzie27 they were greater celandines, the lesser celandines are long gone. The greater ones are gone too now, but my back aches so that's it for gardening today.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I've spent the last 2 days in the garden, weeding. I love it. My veg beds have suffered from me being firstly too busy to do any gardening in the week and then building the greenhouse every weekend for the last month. I did a bit at Easter but haven't had a chance since. You can imagine, it was a jungle. All clear now, I have a load of self seeded parsnips and rocket, my beans are finally in the ground (they were getting a bit tangled in their root trainers), the garlic planted in the winter can finally see some sunlight having been shaded by vastly overgrown kale plants. The Easter spuds have all come up. I have some clear ground for when my courgettes and squash are hardened off (it's been so cold, I've only just taken them out) and my brassicas are potted on - they need to be a bit bigger to brave the world of munchers that is my garden.
I find hand weeding hugely therapeutic - not too taxing on the mind but just enough so I have to focus and can't drift off to think about things that are stressing me. The sun's been shining but not too hot. The rain has arrived now, so not sure how much I'll get done tomorrow or Sunday, but I feel I've made some real progress at last

I nodded off in my chair after the sumptious afternoon tea we had then awoke two hours later! We're still not hungry so might just snack later. It rained whilst I was asleep.
I've also got weeding to do but was waiting for some rain to loosen the soil (that's my excuse) so that may be tomorrow's job.

Nice rainbow @AuntyRach
Very remiss of me, just realised I haven't said hello today.
Nothing much happening here, continuing to plant out stuff.
