I'm home from " a night at the Opera " in Exeter last night.
Felt very guilty about going whilst Hubby is in The Home, but I think it did me good to get away and leave the phone behind.

Scritti Politti!  I went out with their drummer briefly.  We went on a ban the bomb march together.  @Dovefromabove I didn't know they were still going - this was in the 80s (or 90s?).  But glad that you could relax and enjoy it, rather than getting wound up as so many would.

It has rained overnight - yippee.

@Hostafan1 absolutely no need to feel guilty ... he would be very happy that you went and enjoyed it ... you really need to be able to recharge your batteries from time to time ((hugs)).

I don't think any but the 'perpetually aggrieved' object to the music events in Earlham Park @didyw .... open air music events have been going on for years here, initially years ago with the N&N Festival and now with lots of other gigs that bring money and trade to the city  .... with double glazing they're hardly audible if the windows are shut ... and anyway, from the look of the photos in the local press most of Norwich were there 🤣

It's raining here now ... I can watch the Swiss Chard growing ...

    Morning all.

I agree, it will do you good to go out sometimes @Hostafan1, no need to feel guilty.

It's Mother's Day in France. I've had a pretty card and a phone call from Daughter 1.

We are going to the local Community Pub for Sunday lunch.

It has been raining and the mole(s) are excited. So is next door's cat but he hasn't caught one yet.

There's more music in Earlham Park this afternoon ... this time a load of Indie bands, with The Kooks headlining ...
