Evening all, a bit late but I've been flat out all day. I have mortared approx 63 sq. metres of paving, mostly on my hands and knees. Had to dash over to Wickes for a third lot of Fastfix this morning, good job I was up early again. Early night for me soon I think as I ache all over, including my hands.

What opera was it @Hostafan1, good for you to get out occasionally. Lovely photo of grandson.

That sounds like my idea of hell @Dovefromabove, I'd have to move if I was anywhere near that park. We get the occasional noise from some Racecourse events if the winds in the right direction but it doesn't happen often. I have to admit I am totally unmusical, probably because I was forced to listen to classical music during my childhood - put me off for life!

Lol 😆. I love music of all sorts … Early Music/Classical/choral/opera/ rock/pop/folk/jazz … I’ve worked with musicians, for music festivals and helped run venues as well as taken part/performed. My son has worked in the music and entertainments business most of his adult life … some of his friends are household names and I changed some of the famous folks’ btms when they were small. This house is rarely without music of one sort or another playing. Listening to live music … even from a bit of a distance… is a huge treat 😎

Classical music was played when I was a child, not forced, and I liked it. I liked pop when I was young, then folk and country, but now I rarely listen to anything other than classical or opera. I like silence too.

I like it all as well. I grew up with my Mother playing the piano in the living room and at that time (early 40s) practicing dance music for the small group she played with at various local halls to raise money for the war effort. I remember her trying to play Winnie Attwell’s stuff as well. (Can’t remember how to spell that one.)Her group comprised saxophone, trombone, drums and her on piano. I discovered classical and opera later, but love it all.

We had a heavy frost today (Hubby said it was minus 4) 😡
Pixel didn’t stay out for long. 🙄 It looks like another inside knitting day for me.

Loved the poster Hosta. Reminds me war time posters.

    Good morning all.
Bed linen stripped and in the machine already. I'll hang it in the conservatory before leaving to visit Hubby.
@Lizzie27, it was La Boheme. I've seen it so many times, but it reduces me to tears every time.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Glad we didn’t plant the squashes etc out yesterday … apparently it’s going down to 3C tonight 🥶

We had minus 5.2c apparently, and snow is possible down to 1200m. Our big hill is 1300m, so it might come in our direction. It’s certainly cold enough.
