    Morning all.

La Boheme is my favourite @Hostafan1. Makes me cry too.

I think the window cleaner is coming today. I thought he said the 31st but I've written 30th on my calendar.

Morning all, looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day out there. I think I'm going to take it easy though as I still ache. Slept very well and didn't wake up till 6.30 am so that's an improvement.

When I said I was 'forced' to listen to classical music, I meant only that my Dad liked long violin concertos most and in a small house, there was no escaping it. He also liked the soprano Kathleen Ferrier whereas my mum liked more popular stuff and used to dance in the kitchen. OH also likes classical and some pop/jazz but he has to wait until I'm away before he plays it - he likes it loud!

I much prefer the sound of silence.

Morning all, dry but quite chilly here. We are trying to get ready for the upcoming weekend,  family coming, & the door seal on the main oven has decided to split. The local repair place doesn't open till 9 am hope we can get it done before Friday.

I  am with you @Lizzie27, I like all sorts of music but not when it's imposed on me. Usually all you get to hear is the beat , which a few hours on,  all sounds the same whatever they are playing .

My Dad loved Kathleen Ferrier too @Lizzie27. When he listened to her the rest of us had to be quiet - I didn't like that bit! She was a contralto, not soprano.

    Now I'm old(er) I prefer silence too.

Ma loved Kathleen Ferrier ... she had a very good singing voice herself and I have an abiding memory of her singing along to 'Blow the wind southerly' on the radio ... we played it at her Thanksgiving Service.

    Good morning folks.

Nice day here again - sunny and calm. Perfect spring weather.  Will get hotter as the day goes on so it's up and out with the dog before it gets too warm.

Garden coming along nicely but with all the wind, there are leaves and petals everywhere.

Opera fan here too - as well as theatre classics.

Enjoy your day everyone and easy on the red wine tonight!

    Hurrah.
3rd party's insurers have settled my claim in full.
Cheque for excess will be sent to me shortly.
As my insurers have written my wee Worzle off, and " sold " it back to me, I've ended up £600 the richer (albeit with a few scratches and a dent )
