Tui34,we don't go on holiday. Busy in the garden, you know how it is.......spring!  Then back and forth to daughter's house,80 mile round trip. Collecting stuff. Shopping for new bedding for grandkids. Have also got them this week, half term,so twice the shopping, cooking, washing. Add, not sleeping.

@Dovefromabove, we tried to use Milk & more during lockdown but couldn't get them to respond to our messages.  These are called Modern milkman,  the main points are, all managed and paid for online (that's the Modern bit) they guarantee delivery overnight before 7am & the milk comes from farm within 24hrs so they claim its good for up to 10 days.  They say they started because they couldn't survive on the prices they were getting from the SM. The other big plus is glass bottles that get re-used, just like the old days. They offer other things but we don't have fruit juice anymore,  and we only use one type of bread, but we may order more if we are having visitors,  remember those? It is a lot more expensive than the SM (50% more) but as I'm sure you know,  if we don't pay the farmers a fair price,  they will go out of production and we will end up importing.  We will see how it goes,  it's early days.

I haven't had any energy today, but I've weeded the gravel slope, dratted ground elder!

    Evening.

Dare I look at the forecast for the weekend?? I really need some garden time after a hectic and challenging work week.

Moan of the day… why did our local health board choose a vaccination centre for the over 75s at the top of a hill, not on a bus route, and then have standing queues for over an hour? Luckily I took my father to his appointment and wheelchairs were provided once there (one positive) but otherwise a poor show.

    Take care everyone.

@Allotment Boy that sounds pretty much the same business model as Milk&More …seems to work well …  presumably they each have their areas.

Oh tired 🥱 … night night all … sleep tight 😴

Hello Forkers. Hope you’re all well and busy in your gardens. I’m having a lazy day knitting and watching the whole of the Unforgotten series 4. What a day!  I’d forgotten parts of it.

I’m knitting squares (about 10”) which will be sewn together to make a rug - whether for knees or a blanket on the bed.  It’s less of a weight on my shoulders than a knee rug or larger rug.  🙄

    I love a squared blanket @Pat E … so attractive, and very cosy.  😊
