Gosh - 80! Do they go outside in your borders @Hostafan1, or do they stay in your polytunnel? My dahlias in France stay in the ground. Only had 1 here in Norfolk last year, it hasn't appeared, maybe it will when it warms up, David Howard. No GH anywhere anymore.

Afternoon all. All this talk of milk reminds me - must pay the milk bill! We get ours delivered and it's amazing how quickly it adds up.
I'm afraid I always found cricket incredibly boring. My dad was a fanatic so we always had the cricket on in our house, plus I spent what felt like my entire childhood at the cricket club, helping mum on teas. And, as Dad was the secretary, we often had meetings of the committee at our house with we kids banished from the living room for the duration. I didn't mind watching the West Indies though. And I did once go to Lords on a corporate jolly.
I potted up all my dahlias the other day - probably time to wake them up so I'll water the pots.
Enjoying the tulips again this year - they all seem to have reappeared in almost as much glory as last year. I'll see how they do again next year then it might be time for a refresh.

I'll pot them into bigger pots until they're big enough to be planted in to the garden. I've bought 6 David Howard, 5 are fine ,but one has rotted I think.
We enjoyed the NGS garden this afternoon, very pretty, and there was cake. Posted photos on Garden Visits. On the way home we passed a plant nursery and I found a clematis "Purpurea Plena Elegans" so I bought it. I've been looking for that one for 3 years.

Evening all, I'm tired out after a whole day sorting out my daughter's garden in Devon. I've given most of the roses a very late prune, some quite hard, weeded underneath, spread rose fertiliser and watered that in. Soil is really quite dry, surprisingly so ,given she's on the very edge of Dartmoor but has got a very solid, very tall, and very ugly concrete retaining wall behind the roses which doesn't help.
There's a field beyond just with a wire stock fence and we were amused over dinner when a herd of cows wandered over and peered into the conservatory at us. Lots of tiny calves with them as well. Hope the stock fence holds, it's a big drop down our side. Another day to do tomorrow if it stays dry.
Forgot it's the end of the school holidays so might postpone going home until Monday as the M5 doesn't bear thinking about it. It took me 3 hours yesterday and I crawled at 10 mph from Bridgewater to Taunton which wasn't much fun.
I'll try again, got disturbed the other day as I began to post by a delivery arriving. All good here but the pace of work has definitely picked up and it's getting a bit hectic. I have been reading back, just not had time to post.
Charlie has had his brace off after 3 years and is very pleased with himself, he looks so different. The dentist has said he has to have his wisdom teeth out now though, so he's not completely free of treatment just yet.
We're expecting to be busy today as people will be in town to vote, I have my fingers crossed for Macron but it doesn't seem to be a guaranteed win. We'll see.
Anyway, have a good day all.

Good morning all ☕️ It’s another beautiful morning here in Norfolk. I’m just watching two cock blackbirds deciding who has ownership of the roof opposite … now I think they’ve both decided they have other pressing matters on hand … Glad Charlie’s pleased with the results of his brace … 3 years is a long time.

Dahlias well under way ( apart from one or two stragglers / rotted ) about 80 in total.
