I found a stache of 12 ply in my craft room, so decided to get rid of it.   I can’t imagine why I had it. 🤭

It's amazing the stuff I find in my big wooden blanket chest where I keep my stash ... when I used to get most of my yarn from John Lewis Haberdashery Department, it was the bins with the 'left overs' in them that were my weakness ... there was always something that'd come in handy for something, or that was just too lovely to leave behind ...

I’m crocheting a blanket for a double bed at the moment.  Need to get it finished before the evenings warm up as working on it is currently a very cosy experience 🥵

Arundel tulip festival was a wonderful blast of colour - pics on the visits thread.

And last night we went to the “theatre” to see TMS live.  Phil Tuffnell, Aggers and others with behind the scenes tales from one of my favourite summer listens.

Today is a gardening day - some more naughty purchases to get in the ground and some tidying up of last year’s crocosmia foliage (makes a great winter weed suppressant 😮)

Morning everyone,  , the sun is trying to break through,  but there's still a cold wind. Yet more Allotments today.  Have a good day all.

I cussed my Uchiki kuri seeds yesterday for not germinating, and decided with OH that we'd do without them and just have the Honeybear squashes that germinated over a week ago and are growing away nicely ... guess who's making an appearance this morning?  Plain speaking ... that's what they need!

    Morning all.

    What is TMS, @chicky?

We are off to the monthly Farmers Market. Will have coffee and a bacon roll there.

This afternoon we are going to visit an NGS garden.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

@Busy-Lizzie its Test Match Special - cricket on the radio.  Very entertaining 😀

Enjoy your NGS garden visit - not been to one yet this year - must dig out my yellow book.  Pics please 🙏🏻

Morning all, my seeds are all very slow in germinating as well, not surprising really given the weather we are having.....cold, torrential rain at the moment and thundering, it's so dark we have the lights on.
    Have a good day all.
  • @Busy-Lizzie -- Test Match Special . I'm told it can be a joy to listen to even if you're not that bothered about cricket ( but I enjoy cricket very much so can't opine on that first hand). I'm very envious. @chicky !
Kindness is always the right choice.

Used to love listening to Test Cricket on the radio with Pa ... much more interesting than on the tv :) ... of course those were the days of Jonners and Blowers  etc ... Blowers lives not far from here.

Well, the dahlias were sprouting so I've potted them up ... we've got the gloriious Waltzing Mathilda and a Bishop's Child (thank you @WonkyWomble) from last year, and a Creme de Cognac purchased a few weeks ago.

The seedling lettuces and chard that I planted out the other day under the plastic tunne cloche seem happy enough.
