We're lighting a fire @Busy-Lizzie It's warmer outside than in at the moment.  Took the car across town to get sold and when we got there Hubby hadn't got the name changed on the log book.  The garage had said they would sort it when we bought it and he hadn't checked.  Came back with the car and have now sent the form off but it will probably be 4 weeks until it's sorted.  I wouldn't mind but we bought the car in 2019.

Afternoon everyone, the weather is certainly different today.  It was lovely and sunny yesterday and when out in the garden I wore a sleeveless top. Today when I popped out to get some milk I wore my coat it's so chilly!  Hasn't rained, but it's very breezy.
I like carpets and wooden floors. Carpets especially in the bedrooms and lounge. Like Busy, no carpet in kitchen or bathrooms.
Oh @Yviestevie sorry to hear about the car, what a nuisance.  Hopefully it won't be as long as 4 weeks. 🤞
Haven't been out gardening today too cold, wanted to cut the hedging between the two parts of back garden, but will have to wait for another day. Garden bin is almost full anyway 😏

Afternoon All, sorry bit of a rush this morning as heading to mums first to go and get her shopping, then after work been  to SM again for our shopping. I’m fed up with shopping 😅
Ante I meant to say that I’m another who likes carpet in some rooms, but not in the kitchen or bathroom. Can I be a part time member? 😀
Rubee Pleased your plants arrived today, a water sprayer for those positioned higher up is a good idea,
Yvie Sorry it didn’t quite work out with selling OH’s car today hopefully this will be sorted out soon, hope you’ve warmed yourself up by the fire,
Busy Shame your evening at the theatre was a little disappointing, some things should not be changed,
SGL It has felt really chilly outside today, I don’t blame you for putting off the hedge trimming until another day,
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Ante wooden floors are lovely, although I do have carpets but not for the kitchen or bathroom.  I also have a tufts red rug in the sitting room which needs a regular brush to fluff up the pile.LB  I’ve been pottering and my scholl sandals arrived, although needed to go online to adjust the strap.  They are the vintage style clogs and have given my legs quite a workout, toes are relaxing in slippers now.  Chive Alfie’s throat has been much better today so fingers crossed.  IVe had to order a new vacuum as mine ceased to work a week ago despite investigation.  Ordered a bag less one and being delivered tomorrow morning so can then give everything a thorough going over as the other one was just moving Alfie’s fluff and despite filters renewed not picking up.  Busy shame the theatre was such a modern take on Shakespeare.  I can see it being disappointing.  Yvie hope the paperwork for the car is soon sorted.    Lily rather chilly am but warmed up and sunny in the afternoon.

Good evening all. Just enjoyed my double dose of Beechwood and GW. I've had a great time in the garden today. Potted on many of my baby plants that are growing well in the greenhouse and I moved some of my bigger cornflowers and calendulas on into a big tub. I discovered tubers from last years dahlias which I also grew from seed, in the tub, so I have planted them into a smaller pot on their own, They will either grow or not but at least I've given them a chance.
Glad that your plants arrived safely Ruby and having a manual pump spray will avoid you having to stand on a step ladder to water plants higher than you can reach.
Yvie, it must have felt strange taking in the car today and especially finding that the name on the V5C was incorrect.
Busy. I think I would have been disappopinted with that presentation. It begs the question 'Why?' William Shakespeare will be spinning in his grave.
RosieBB those sandals made by that Company you mentioned were all the rage in the late sixties. All my college mates wore them. Very comfortable and they certainly made your toes work.

@Rubee glad your plants arrived. Those water sprayers are a great idea, much safer than climbing a ladder.
Sounds like you had a lovely play in the garden today @Ladybird4

I'm going to say goodnight too.
    Sleep well everyone, sweet dreams.

Evening all. Just popped in before bed to say hello.

Been busy painting some of the house render plus digging out raspberry runners plus trimmed two hedges. Felt worn out when I finished. Had a lazy evening to compensate.

Envious of those talking of rain. Don't know what happened to April showers. Don't think we've had any rain since the beginning of March. Hard work when you have to keep watering everything.

BL - sorry you didn't enjoy Henry V. It's one of my favourite plays but I think I would prefer a more traditional version. I think Macbeth with David Tennant is coming up on Radio 4. That might be worth a listen.

Rubee your plant waterer sounds good. I received 2 clematis today from Thorncroft and thought of you as I unwrapped them 🙂
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
