LB, hope you will manage to work in the garden and play canasta.
SGL, hope the weather will improve before your trip to SM. I already done my visit this morning.
It's officially last day of spring breaks. I'm finished with all inside jobs, so I can rest next three days. The weather is miserable and it's impossible to work outside. Rain and wind, probably till Monday. Now is time for cup of tea.
Btw, I'm forming new club and all are welcome. It will be for people who hates carpets and rugs. Any form, any material, shape or colour. In last few days I developed a passionate hate toward them. π€£π€£
Morning @Rubee πββοΈ We still get most things with 'sco delivery LB, but OH has to have full fat milk and it doesn't freeze. I like to get the odd fresh item too. I do make a list LB, but sometimes the odd extra item gets in the basket too π€£Β
Good morning RosieBB and Ante. Hope you and Alfie are keeping snuggly RosieBB.
Goodness me Ante, you have not had much nice weather for your Spring break have you? At least the onions will be well watered.
I will join your club Ante. I would love polished wooden floors instead of carpets but one thing I have to say is that I do like other peoples' carpets!Β
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Oops so sorry @bluebellsintherain and @Ante1 you weren't there just now. Β Ante,Β it's getting rather breezy and cloudy π€¦ββοΈ hopefully won't rain till I get back π€ Rosie, have a relaxing day, sounds like you were up quite early.
Good Morning LB, SGL, Bluebells, Rubee, Ante and all to follow, LB Hope the weather improves for your day in the garden,Β SGL Hope the nip to the shops is not too chilly,Β Bluebells Keep warm in your cape with a nice hot cuppa,Β Rubee Hope your plants all arrive safely today, Ante Sorry youβve had bad weather during your spring break, hope the next few days go well. Have a lovely day everyone.Β
Morning all, @Ante1 I love hardwood floors too but I have to say I do like a nice rug so not sure I can be a member of your club. Feeling cold today but trying not to put the heating on.Β We are taking Hubby's car in today and if we get offered a good price will be coming home without it.Β It's quite strange as he hasn't been without his own car since he was 17. Not sure whether or not I'll be going out in the garden later today. Enjoy your day whatever you are up to.
Rubbe, I'm so glad that your plants arrived safe and in good condition.
Don't worry Yvie, we will convert you yet. π It will be indeed a strange feeling for your OH. At this moment I can imagine myself without many things, but car is not one of them. Hope he will get used to it soon.
Cooler here, nippy wind, still sunny. I've put a blanket on my lap instead of the heating.
Why don't you like carpets @Ante1? I like them, they look and feel cosier. I only don't like them in kitchens and bathrooms.
We went to Henry V last night, live screening of the National Theatre. I'm afraid we were both disappointed. It was in modern dress, no scenery and they had changed some of the script. Some of the soldiers and dukes were women which they seemed very keen to point out. I was rather confused as to who was male and who was female, so missed the Queen of France. The French Royal family were black and spoke French with subtitles, which they didn't in the original script. Why mess with Shakespeare?
Nothing planned for today. Think I'll do a bit of gardening this afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
