Evening everyone. Been doing unmentionables and have also tackled half of the huge pile of garden shredding. Have layered the shreddings with saved grass cuttings but I won't have enough to layer with all the shredded material so I'll have to store the surplus. Always too many browns at this time of year (also have a big pile of cardboard, shredded paper and a dumpy bag of rotting leaves). Come August when grass cutting is in full swing I'll be moaning there's too many greens...

Heard today that my aunt has died. We weren't close and I haven't seen her for about 5 years but it's a little sad that she's the last of my mum's family. Unfortunately the funeral is in Macclesfield on the day we're catching the ferry from Harwich so there's no way I can attend. Shame - I would have liked to have gone.

Hope your arm is a little easier tomorrow LB and hope your fatigue is just a combination of vaccination and disturbed night.

Have you been to Fressingfield again BL?😎

Evening everyone, It's turned quite chilly this evening.
@Ladybird4 sorry to hear you feel so tired, it's probably due to your vaccine as well as a rubbish night's sleep. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and feel much better in the morning.
@Busy-Lizzie hope you enjoyed your meal out today.
@Chivetalking I had a good mooch round the GC  couldn't find the plants I wanted for the border by the patio, but did get   Saxifrage and a couple of Heucheras for another part of the garden. Hope you had an easier day today and don't feel so tired. Have a relaxing evening.
So sorry to hear your Aunt has died @Topbird and a shame you won't be able to attend the funeral.
You've been extremely busy in the garden today and also with unmentionables,  think you deserve a G&T🍸
@Songbird-1 hope you're feeling better this evening. Take care.

Ante your father will have appreciated you going with him.  LB glad you had a restful time at besties after your restless night.  I hope your arm feels better.  Top bird I’m sorry to hear about your aunt and sending a hug along the tunnel.  Be kind to yourself.  Hazel I hope you’ve had a better day today.  Busy it will be nice for you and oh to spend time together again.  I hope you had a lovely lunch.  I’ve had a warm shower and warmed up with the heater lounged in my robe and made tea.  Quite a chilly day despite the sunshine.  Maybe there’ll soon be warmer weather ahead.  Wishing you all a relaxing evening.  I’ve baked a rustic baguette and about to have some.  Chive you’ll be pleased your plug plants arrived, hope all healthy and happy planting.

    Evening All,
Hope you feel better in the morning LB,
Topbird Sorry to hear that your Aunt has passed away and it’s such a shame that the funeral falls on a date you are unable to attend. Sounds like a very productive day, managing to shift some of your garden shredding pile,
SGL Those are some nice purchases for the garden I like Heuchera their foliage is so attractive, i hope you can find the ones you wanted elsewhere. I do feel less tired today thank you, must be getting back into my routine 😊
Bluebells Your rustic baguette sounds really yummy 😋 it is getting chilly, keep yourself warm. I’ve potted up the plants to grow them on a bit more, but they all looked healthy 🌱
Busy That looks like a very nice place to have lunch,
Hope you are feeling better @Songbird-1
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Evening all,  Well it's been a bit of a day really.  Secondborn's day in court really was a day (started a 9 and she didn't get home until 6).  To cut a long story short, she didn't get what she wanted but it's not too bad.  She'll have enough to enable her to stay on the property ladder and her pension is safe from him.  There was never any problem re the boys, they will continue to co parent on a 50:50 basis.  She is now financially independent and will just need to get the divorce finalised.
Hubby has made a big decision and decided to stop teaching guitar and we are going to sell one of the cars.  It just doesn't make sense to run two.
Really tired tonight think it's all the stress.
@Ladybird4 hope you feel better soon and hopefully you will sleep well tonight.
@Topbird sorry to hear about your aunt.
    @Songbird-1 hope you feel better.

Sounds as though your daughter has been through what my daughter is starting to go through @Yviestevie. She thought it would be an amicable divorce but once the subject of money is raised things changed. I hope you manage to have a good night's sleep after that, sounds as though you need it.
