Rubee, I'm sorry to hear about your carpet. You lately really don't have luck with boiler and water.
LB, flower fair was canceled because of the rain. It's raining for two days.
Hazel, you and your OH done a lot today. You really love your brush and paint, do you.😁
We came home around 2pm. Max is progressing very well and next visit to the vet is next Saturday. He must continue his treatment fifteen more days. I treated myself with takeout sushi and delicious matcha tea. I enjoyed. Now is time to prick out my tomato seedlings, around hundred plants.
I've been gardening, had thought it would be too cold, but I prefer it to d.st..g. I have prepared part of the donkey paddock for sowing seeds, wildflower mix that Daughter1 gave me, a mix that I gave me, Nigella, cornflowers and pot marigolds. I hope something comes up. Haven't sown them yet, it was cold. I got warm by clearing a big leaf pile onto the other big leaf pile, P (previous owner of house) left them there, and scraping up donkey poo. There should be some nice compost from the leaf pile, old hay and donkey poo.
Later this afternoon I started weeding and edging the shrub bed, then I got rained off. Done a bit under half of it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hazel I didn’t sleep well either awake with arthritis and swirling.. LB slept at Rubees and brought round mixed grain bread mix which dad made in his bread machine whilst I slept. I tried some with a cup of tea delicious. Rubee not easy to dry sodden carpet, lots of towels to put down. I hope suggestions help. Big lad I hope it’s not too cold on Raaf duties. Chive I hope you’ve had a relaxing day. I came home and used hand held steamer on bathroom sink and bath and brushed up the rug in sitting room a treat things looking sparkly. Brushed sitting room carpet to de fur and made a cup of tea.
Afternoon all. I've had a sort of 'waiting around day' but the good news is that both my deliveries finally arrived. I am very pleased with my Heptacodium and just need to clear the spot I have in mind to plant it out. Hopefully I can do that tomorrow when I get back from rellie visiting. I need to give handy brother his key back and the paperwork for his blinds. Bird feeders are filled, watering of the troughs and in the GH is complete. The huge cardboard box that the Heptacodium came in has been torn into strips of the right size to fit into the recycling bin. It has not really warmed up here very much today.
Hello Yvie, good to see you. You sound to have had a very busy week and perhaps a rather unsettled Mother's Day. Hope things are improving now.
Hazel, what is your restoration project? It sounds fascinating. I'm just being nosey
Ante, I am so pleased to hear that Max is progressing well in his recovery. I have to say that sushi is one of my favourite snack foods. I've been pricking out calendula seedlings today. GH is filling up nicely.
Busy, as ever living up to your name. Have you heard from P how Caesar is doing at the donkey sanctuary? I do hope he is settled in now. At least he has left you some good stuff for your garden.
RosieBB, would you recommend one of those hand held steamers for a mucky gas hob? On the adverts they look so wonderfully efficient and I just wondered how true to life those are.
I've had to fill up the nesting material holder with more of Lily's fluff as the birds are taking it away as fast as I put it out.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening everyone, the sun came out for awhile and I managed to plant both roses. Also put Obelisk in position for the climbing rose. It's turned quite chilly this evening and the heating has turned itself on. I wondered what you were restoring too @Songbird-1 sounds lovely, especially as it belonged to your great grandmother. Did you take a 'before' photo? Good to see you @Yviestevie sorry you're had a miserable week and a not so good Mothers day. Sending a hug. Glad your parcels arrived @Ladybird4 @Busy-Lizzie you've been busy again, have a restful evening. @Rubee hope your carpets are starting to dry out.
LB the handheld steamers are not as powerful as the big ones but they don’t tend to leak. I use mine for around the taps, the sink basins and the bath. Mine don’t have anything heavy duty to encounter with regard to cleaning. If there’s a lot to do you may be better with a bigger one. Thank you Hazel. I hope you enjoy the restoration job. I have enjoyed upcycling projects in the past. Goodnight everyone.
Who was it that asked if we could claim on our insurance?Yes we can .Thank you for reminding me. Carpets are still quite wet. Those who have had a miserable week ,I hope you have a much better week next week .Sleep well everyone .

I survived r-a-a-f duties. It was a bit too warm for me if anything
Another game in the morning then a series of errands over the border to complete before another working week - 5th of 14. Can't wait for June!
