  • Good morning all.  Ante I hope Maxs appointment goes well, poor thing struggling on three legs.  Sending hugs.  Quick trip to sm as ran out of food.  Lotto machine not manned. Very cold out but sm nice and quiet.  The sun has just started shining.  Frosty mornings forecast for a few days and very chilly.

Good morning Debs, Ante, SGL, Ruby and RosieBB.
Debs, I will be trying a little more tidying in the garden. Now that my green bin has been emptied it is just begging to be filled again. My parcel delivery from The Royal Mint is due between 09:58 and 13:58. Why they can't just say 10:00 and 14:00 I don't know.
Ante, I trust that Max's visit to the Vet's will be satisfactory and I'm glad to hear that he is being a good patient. What a shame that the flower fair had to be cancelled. Is that because of the horrid rain?
Poor you Ruby, more water horror stories. The only plus point (if you can call it that) is at least the water is clean. The towels will take time but eventually do the trick of soaking it all up. We need some warm weather to help too. Unload on us all you want Ruby - a trouble shared etc.
RosieBB, I count myself lucky that there is no frost here today - despite the weather presenter on TV saying there was frost everywhere. Still a little on the cool side as I mentioned earlier.

    Good Morning everyone,
LB Hope your deliveries all arrive ok those Royal Mail time slots are odd aren’t they! pleased you haven’t woken to a frost. Good to hear handy brother enjoyed his time in Torquay and is looking forward to getting his new home in order,
Debs Great that your greenhouse arrived yesterday, hope it’s not too long before you can get that assembled in place. Have a good day in the garden,
Ante Glad Max is healing well you are taking good care of him, I hope the vet is pleased with his progress. Shame about the flower fair,
SGL Hope you will be able to get your roses planted out soon, a frosty start here too but looking brighter now,
Rubee Oh no not another leak, what an awful discovery to make. It’s understandable you feel fed up after all the boiler trouble you’ve had, I hope the carpet dries out soon,
Bluebells Glad you got some food supplies in, I hope you manage to get your lotto ticket especially if you have regular numbers you do each week,
Not sure what to do with the day yet, need some tea to contemplate my options ☕️ Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all.

@Rubee do you know anyone with a carpet shampooer? They can suck water out of carpets. Mine did a great job when a faulty tap in the bathroom next to daughter's bedroom flooded her carpet.

    I'm glad Max isn't in pain @Ante30

    Sunny, 5° at the moment.

CB is coming this morning to see what needs to be done when I'm away. I'll have to tell him about how when he mowed the late daffodils and not to mow the leaves and not to mow the grass into the flower beds. I had to pick grass out of the lavenders and it looked a mess. I'll need to use tact in French thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

I was going to babysit for Son 2's children tonight but DIL's parents have rung to say they are coming to stay for the weekend as it was her birthday on the 30th, so they will babysit.

Missed you there Hazel good morning, sorry to hear you didn’t have a good nights sleep. I hope any worries you have can be sorted, things do play on your mind especially at night when there are no distractions. Hope your day goes well.

    Morning all,

Bit of a nightmare @Rubee. Hope you get everything dried out quickly.

Nippy outside early doors but had a good mooch, took a few photos, tidied up a bit and did some quality pondering ;)

R-a-a-f duties later but the season is very nearly over :)

That’s so annoying @Rubee hope you get it sorted out soon and not too much damage done.

Oh dear @Rubee I hope it can be sorted without too much hassle. I did a lot of pondering in the middle of the night- @Biglad but I can't say it was of much quality!
It's too cold to do much gardening, some daffs are finishing so they'll need tidying... after another cuppa, perhaps.

Hi folks been doing lots of nanna duty over the last week.  The boys have been poorly, I've had a cold and so has Secondborn so it's been a bit full on.  Everyone is getting better slowly so next week should be better.  Had a few issues over Mother's day which I wont bore you with, so all in all it's been a bit of a miserable week.
Sorry to here about your flood Rubee, no wonder you are fed up.
