Hello everyone. No frost this morning - still a bit chilly though. I am expecting a couple of deliveries today. One from The Royal Mint and the other is possibly my Heptacodium shrub. Had a call from handy brother who got back from his holiday yesterday. He had had a lovely time in Torquay and is now looking forward to getting his bungalow in order. I was a bit puzzled when he said it was going to take him months!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning LB and all to follow. Perhaps your brother plans lots of changes? Decorating etc? That would take months I suppose.Β
Very cold here too but dry. I think a tidying the garden day is on the cards.Β
I have a few bits to plant but I wonβt attempt to dig if the ground is frozen. Also need a trip to little local shop for bird food. The shop also sells a few plants so I may be tempted.Β
My apologies for absence last few days, but you are familiar with the reasons. Max is much better and doesn't feel pain due to painkillers. It's quite challenging to go out with him only on three legs, but we manage somehow. He is very good patient and he has a lot of rest. Today we have appointment at vet office just to see how is he progressing. It's raining for two days, non stop. At least it's not cold and we don't have frost or snow. Flower fair was in plans for today in my town, but it's canceled. I'll have my tea and we must prepare for trip.
Morning everyone,Β Slight frost here this morning, but the sun is trying to peek through.Β Good to see you @Ante30 hope Max gets on OK at the Vet. Glad the painkillers are making him feel more comfortable and he can manage a little walk. Sending you both a hug.Β My DA roses turned up yesterday afternoon, I'm not sure if I will plant them today will have to see what the ground is like.Β They are bare root roses, so won't be able to leave them too long π€ Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone .Sorry I have been quiet . A couple of days ago I came downstairs in the morning and walked on a very squelchy carpet .I ran upstairs and looked in the boiler cupboard and checked the bathroom ,everything was dry .Came back downstairs went into the kitchen and pulled the the washing machine out ,the floor was a puddle. The water had seeped through the stud wall into the hallway .Sorted the washing machine but the carpet in the hallway is going to take some time to dry .When I first found that the carpet was soaking I put old towels and throws down .I am still putting them down .Sorry to complain but I am a little fed up . I havenβt read back . I hope everyone had a good night .
Oh @Rubee I'm so sorry to hear you have a problem with the washing machine causing flooding.Β Do hope the carpet isn't too damaged, would you be able to claim on your insurance for a replacement?Β Feel free to chat about it on here, not complaining at all. You must feel quite down after all the boiler problems lately. Sending a big hug Rubee x Take care.
