Lots of little clematis plants newly in at Aldi today for £1.79.  I noticed Mme Julia Correvon, Montana Elizabeth, Arabella, Pope John Paul, Carnaby, Etoile Violette, Rouge Cardinal, among others.  Also honeysuckle.  Some people like to grow them on before planting out, but I have usually found they take OK.

  • Last year it only had 4 flowers so I'm looking forward to it having more (about 10 or 12 buds this year)

Just about @Marlorena, we had a cold snap which set them back a bit and the blasted squirrels keep nibbling the buds along the top of the fence.

Montana just out but it's a small plant in a pot.
