It's alright @Papi Jo I'm not dissing your clem 🤣, I adore my Samaritan Jo - looks like it's going to be another few days till mine flowers!
That Saphyra "double rose" looks good too, I've not seen one in the UK yet, I think Ray Evison has cornered the "patio-sized" market here. They must all have diversifolia somewhere in their parentage cos some of the "Boulevards" aren't much into climbing either!

@Nollie etoile Violette is such a little trouper! Some clematis can be described as "elegant" or perhaps "stately" but I see etoile as an eager to please puppy! 🙂

..some colourful Clematis.. that Saphyra is most unusual..
..love the colours on the blues and purples too.. especially Justa, I must check that one out..

A trouping eager puppy is just what I need to grow up through the wisteria there @mikeymustard

I nearly bought a Justa last year, but it’s tag showed a pale lavender blue flower without Eustace’s streaks..

..Saphyra 'Double Rose' has an interesting breeding, the seed parent being Clematis integrifolia 'Olgae' which originated in Russia circa 1950, with the pollen parent being 'The President' which Mr Vine Eye has shown us above.

No, Eustace's Clematis isn't Justa...  I'm wondering if it's 'Multi Blue', have to wait until it opens up more in the centre..

Unusual colouring on 'Vyvyan Pennell' for sure.. the tips reminded me of an Iris..

@Marlorena could be multiblue. Let me get another photo of another flower.
    Here it is:

I'll post another photo tomorrow once it opens fully.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
