    @MuseLea that bourbon looks nice, sort of 3d due to its shading like trompe l'oeil!
    Lovely piilu too; I thought I'd lost mine this year after discovering the pot on my porch step turns out to be a perfect rain shadow, but just one, pathetic spike appeared.  So roll on next year 🙂

    I picked the president, josephine, gurnsey cream, vvyan penal and a bunch of others recently, lovely to see what they are going to be like in full flow!

    I know this is well documented, but I am very surprised. 
    I had a lovely C. montana growing through a large Acer. About 4 years ago it died, after having thrived for well over 20 years, but this year it is flowering again, only about 8 foot tall, rather than its normal 30 foot, but a very pleasant surprise.
