Royal Velours - very apposite! Night Veil was supposed to be a Pernille but there was a mix up at the nursery. We liked it so much we decided to keep it!
'Royal Velours'.. first season from 3ltr pot, planted a few weeks ago and pinched out.. obelisk is 6 feet.. .. looking very dark, I think it gets a more velvety red in warmer conditions..
I found 'Prince Charles' does quite well, and it will repeat flower if deadheaded when the main flush is over, which takes a little time but worth it.. 'Star of India'.. 'Margaret Hunt' / 'Princess Diana'.. 'The Vagabond'..
