I think it's not so much the theme per se, but the way the music/dance is shoehorned to fit. I should imagine Dave Arch tears his hair out quite a lot.
I foresee great wailing and gnashing of teeth. The quarter and semi finals of Strictly are being moved to Friday and Sunday respectively because of the World Cup Football.
I think one programme is scheduled for Friday December 2nd . We have friends coming for dinner that night, the wife is a big Strictly fan but we both thought it would be okay to meet up on that evening as we wouldn't miss it "live" (there were other reasons as well l hasten to add). S*ds law 😁
I'm not surprised that Molly was in the dance off, she is a good dancer but somehow she seems to slip below the radar, for me at least. Sad to see Ellie S leave, but possibly she had gone as far as she could. I think Nikita had come up with some great choreography with the limitations they faced.
I think Tony may well go next week, but a part of me suspects that he might make it to Blackpool.
Molly always seems to land in that dangerous middle zone of the judges' scores. I enjoyed her Foxtrot - very elegant but fun and with good footwork and lines. Nikita has done very well with choreographies for Ellie but I didn't enjoy that Charleston.
I thought Kym and Grazzianio's Argentine Tango was glorious and Hamza is just wonderful with his unassuming ways and mastery of the dance steps each week tho I don't understand the costume department's choice for him this week. Surely any designer knows that clothes are supposed to enhance good points and disguise bad ones to flatter a figure. Total failure with Hamza this week.
I do wish the new lighting team would wake up and realise the show is about the dance and not the lighting effects which hide half the dance.

I'm gutted to see Ellie S go - I've loved watching her dance and thought she deserved at least a couple more weeks. But Molly did do a great dance off.
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
It seemed to me somewhat rude, when on Saturday night, whilst being interviwed by Claudia, Ellie S repeatedly interrupted Nikita, who was trying to respond to C. I then feared that if others perceived it in the same way, it could affect the number of votes she would get.
Sadly, it did and as she, probably, didn't stand much of a chance against Molly, it resulted in her exit.
Of course, it's always possible that the public simply didn't like her performance, though, I think, the judges had proclaimed it her "best".
Can't believe Tony wasn't in the dance off. But think the right person went home this week. Didn't think it was her best dance and scores were rather high. Voting was rather random again this week, thought Craig was very mean giving Ellie Taylor such low marks. Kim and Grazzianos Agentine Tango was brilliant. Hamza was amazing too.
