I think the rules state that they can have a one week "bye", but no more than that @LunarSea.

I read somewhere that the Strawbridges aren't doing Escape to the Château any more.
I suspect it was very useful before they built up their many businesses. I liked it a lot when it was all new and falling to bits, but not keen now,a little bit big for their boots,so the charm has worn off for me.

It's not just his boots Dick Strawbridge is now too big for.  Look at photo's of him when they bought the place compared to now.  Shall we just say French cuisine clearly agrees with him.

Just a reminder to those who like to watch it "live", that the results show is on earlier than usual tonight at 6pm.
Also the next live show is on this Friday at 8pm, with the results show on Saturday at 17.40pm  :)

Oo thank you for the intel @AnniD. Football is it? 🙄

I wasn’t blown away by any of them last night but all were good. Some strange marks imo - generally if there is a significant criticism then you wouldn’t expect a 9??

    After Anton's comments about Hamza , l was amazed when he gave a 9 @AuntyRach .
I must admit my eyes were on Jowita for most of it, but there was something about Shirley singling her out for so much praise that didn't sit right with me. I know the judges do comment on the professional dancers now and again, but it seemed a bit OTT.
To be honest l was underwhelmed last night, maybe because it followed all the Blackpool hype. I quite enjoyed Molly and Carlos though.

PS Yes, it's because of football, how did you guess ? 😁

I have just been reading people’s reactions to the voting last night. One fan expressed great disappointment with the outcome as he/she had voted 120 times for the losing couple. What cost of living crisis?

@AnniD the point about Shirley's prasie of Jowita is that the female partner, even a professional, cannot execute her steps to perfection if the male doesn't lead well.   OH and I have been dancing for years and he still doesn't get that if he's only concentrating on his own feet his hands, arms and body are not leading me well enough to do my new steps, be they pivots, turns, lock steps, twirls, flicks, or just the usual backwards stuff. .

I agree that Anton's 9 did not marry with his unkind football comment but on the whole I thought the marking of all couples was pretty fair. It's time Ellie went.

It's not so much Shirley's praise of Jowita @Obelixx , l certainly understood the reasons for it.
It was just it seemed to go on for some time. Probably just my perception though :) .
With one couple missing (Kym and Graziano), they had more time to fill l suppose.

To thr best of my knowledge, in another change to the schedule, the semi final is on Sunday December 11th at 7.15pm, and the result show Monday 12th at 8.15pm. It finishes at 9pm on BBC 1 and is followed immediately by ITT on BBC 2.
