I didn't watch but my wife did and she certainly thought that Will and his partner performed better than the other couple in the dance off, and was surprised when he went.  Maybe his partner was shocked too, and that caused the 'excessive' reaction.  @Dovefromabove I would disagree with your comments about few having major decisions about careers taken by other people.  I suspect most people's careers have been affected by the decisions of others.  Getting a job or not, getting promotion or not, these are in the hands of others every time.

  • My wife did turn on to strictly take two after the result show even though neither of us can stomach any amount of Rylan but it soon got switched off as Nancy was blubbing too much, I did think that the blubbing was quite apt for Rylan though after his performance on the x factor that time.
  • I too have a favourite @Obelixx and I suspect it might be the same as yours...  we had to be at a rehearsal last night so I missed the dance off.  Not particularly surprised who's gone, though.  The final is going to be exciting, and I wouldn't like to try & predict who will win.

Or even predict who will become romantically attached to their dance partner  :)

    I actually said

“….very few of us have major decisions taken about our careeers by other people, let alone go on to answer some quite inane questions and talk about it in the full glare of national tv and millions of people….”

When we get bad news you and I can have a strop, burst into tears, go out and drink too much or kick a metaphorical cat without tv cameras being in our faces … that’s the difference I was talking about.

The final this evening beginning at 7.05pm.
As usual, it seems to have gone so quickly in many ways, and yet Kai and Kaye Adams leaving seems a long time ago.
    Here's hoping for a good time  :)

Also SCD's greatest moments on Channel 5 at 5.05pm (apologies for the late heads up).

At least they got the right winner - despite some of the judges scoring which thankfully couldn't affect the result.  How the **** could 2 judges award 10's to a dance with glaring errors, and those errors were pointed out by other judges?  Sadly, that's symptomatic of Strictly over the past several series.  To misquote Simon and Garfunkel "They see what they want to see and disregard the rest"

There was a comment on another forum that these days the show dances seem quite underwhelming, which may be  something to do with the Couple's Choice dances throughout the series. I must admit l was surprised that

Helen and Gorka didn't win. Personally l felt she performed better overall than Hamza
