Well that was one emotional ending. Don't think l've ever seen a professional dancer quite so distraught

Especially as it wasn't actually judged on that dance-off, otherwise they should have won.

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

  • Am I right in thinking that Craig has handed out just one ten this year to Fleur and Vito? Again it would have seemed strange if the only couple in the whole series who had got forty went out. I have enjoyed the fact that they are all good.

The judges only ever claim to judge the dance off on the basis of that one dance only when it suits their purpose.

The silence from all those screaming 'racism' in the early stages of Strictly is deafening.  Maybe only one non-minority is now assumed to be a balanced lineup.

It was a good decision I think, even if not entirely based on the dance-off.   The Paso  was awful.

Of those left, they're all good and all work hard but I do have a favourite based purely exceptional musicality, some great performances and on attitude to the whole thing from day one.

I missed the dance off last night - I was at book club - but OH told me who had gone out. Shame, but rather him than the other who was in the dance off.  She is my favourite.  But then the remaining male is rather good too, and I do like Helen as well.

  • Looking forward to the final four very good contestants I think that this is the strongest set of finalists ever, hope that they all do well.

Great semi-final. Very difficult to judge/score a ‘couple’s choice’ though. I was a bit confused that Fleur won the dance-off based on “micro-details” (Motsi and Shirley) yet Anton noted a mistake- so not “micro”?

Nancy was way too upset. I’m sure they are gutted, but in the scheme of things it was a disproportionate level of crying and upset for what is essentially a fun bit of escapism and entertainment for people.

It's a fun bit of escapism and entertainment for us ... for the professionals its their job ... doing well in Strictly can have a major effect on their career so some of them may feel very 'driven' and intense so I think it's understandable that some folk might feel emotional about it ... very few of us have major decisions taken about our careeers by other people, let alone go on to answer some quite inane questions and talk about it in the full glare of national tv and millions of people.
