I wasn't unhappy with Hamza winning but my favourite was Fleur with Helen very close behind, mainly based on her show dance - which was fantastic! I never took to Molly.
I really do think the Strictly needs to get back to its original format i.e. none of the celebs had much in the way of dance experience. That made it much fairer when trying to compare performances. Now, at least half seem to have spent much of their life in stage school or dance academies.
I must be one of the only ones who thinks Hamza should not have won. It was as though the public were voting for his personality rather than his dancing.
I can't understand why Fleur kept being in the dance off. I think she was the best dancer and should have won.
However, my personal favourite was Helen. She started off quite shy and then made huge progress. I though she was amazing in the final.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Some might say it was the back-story that won it for Rose last year. At the end of the day that's what happens when you leave it in the hands of the public.
Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
The problem is that if the public didn't have the opportunity to vote then l think it would have a pretty devastating effect on the viewing figures. Part of the joy of Strictly is the different personalities that you get. Someone like Matt Goss who had performed in front of thousands in his heyday and had his own show in Las Vegas, l would have expected him to thrive. Not necessarily be a great dancer, but he would be able to perform.
I enjoyed Fleur last night, l think it was the best l'd seen her dance (although that Couple's Choice is a real Janet Jackson / Beyonce copy). Although Hamza was the favourite from the start, l thought Helen gave him a good run for the money by the end.
The fact that everybody who watches it has an opinion, be it positive or negative, proves they must be doing something right. Twenty series is pretty good going. For me, there's something reassuring about the start of Strictly as the days draw in and Christmas looms over the horizon.
It was certainly better than last year. Even though Rose and Gio were runaway winners, it was a real anti climax when AJ and Kai had to withdraw and it ended up with just two couples in the final.
My main moans are the over use of 9s and 10s from so early on, leaving the judges with nowhere to go. (Craig's 10s mean something), and the way Motsi and Shirley stand up for virtually every dance. There are times l really miss Len and his pickled walnuts 😁.

Strictly is more of a popularity contest than a dance competition. The winner is the person who gains the most public votes. The reason Fleur kept being in the bottom two is that she wasn't popular, for whatever reason, and not enough people voted for her.
Talking about Matt Goss I thought that he came across very shy and awkward on strictly but seeing him on the ch 4 programme Sunday brunch yesterday he was so much more relaxed he was like a different person.

Still enjoyed it
