@Rickyjones24 ..in the UK, at least for most of us except the very far north, roses flower during the month of June, some will be coming toward the end of their main flush, or just starting, which is why the 2nd or 3rd week in June is usually the best time to visit a garden of roses.  Because Wynyard Hall is further north I would suggest the 3rd week in June, but this winter has been so mild, things could peak a bit earlier.  Mid June is usually a good time for most roses.. Â
You will always miss the best of some, those that start to flower in mid May, will be going over by late June, some late starters will only just be getting going.  We have this problem all the time visiting rose gardens..
edit.. whoops, I hadn't seen your post @Mr. Vine Eye .. sorry... lovely photos as usual..
Some good progress on roses this year. I think the weather has certainly helped the last few days.
i purchased a standard rose from dobbies last weekend and planted it today. I was shocked to find that there was barely any root to it as its really starting to leaf out. I just hope it makes it as i put some mychrrozial fungi and i haven't consigned it to a slow death.Â
Lovely catching up on this thread and great to see lots of new contributors and their lovely roses and rose plans!
Welcome @Penny_Forthem. I echo everyone else's sentiments regarding your husband but am glad you are joining the thread
Welcome back @Katsa, congratulations and glad you are doing well. Sweet drumstick prim, mine don't seem to be as buoyant this year, unless I have lost some. I might split and redistribute them after flowering🤔Â
I've been malingering for the past week with COVID but am practically recovered and now have a week off work to carry out some garden meddling.
To celebrate here's a picture of red floribunda Trumpeter on the sunny pondside which is really just an excuse to show the beautiful Cornish King and Bestseller daffs behind. Cornish King (left) is a lovely daff with yellow streaking on both sides of the white making the back as beautiful as the front. On the fence behind is where I removed the wonderful Golden Gate climber as I couldn't handle it and have replanted with Captaine John Ingram, Francesca, Belle de Jour and Sunny Day (Trevor White). Looking forward to seeing them although they will need a few years really.
Oh I meant to say, I received a 15% discount yesterday for DA with code PEGASUS
I think I read that already on here so maybe I received it late, anyway, it's still on although I'm not buying anything. I have however started making a list for next year (not specifically DA)Â
@Nollie Even my GC has got pale leaves compared to others.. but then they do have pale leaves isn't it?? or is it chlorosis.. wondering why only that should have chlorosis when every other rose has been treated the same..
@Victoria Sponge glad you are recovered... happy gardening, it will definitely be a good boost to your health..

I thought my first bud warranted a better quality photo so...
