    @Nollie, Lovely roses, your Excellenz von Shubert and The Prince are so beautiful.

    @cooldoc, glad that  'Avengers' are on action. I was also thinking of spraying if saw fly situation goes out of control in pots, but sometimes it is good to busy. I never got chance of ordering it and now looks like i dont need it.

    @imprevu, lovely rose opening up.

    @jessica, at first i thought that wisteria is from show, only to realize after scrolling down it is from your garden!

    @Mr. Vine Eye , I enjoyed the video. Everything is looking so lush and ready for summer.

    @celcius_kkw, nice to hear from you. That sunsprite is a perfect yellow rose.

    @fire, your garden and arches are looking very beautiful. It is nice that your friend sent photo.It is beautiful view and he is a good photographer to captured it perfect.

    @suesyn, You have done great job with MAC. I would have loved to plant it but was so worried that I wont be able to manage it.

    @Mr. Vine Eye wow, you’ve got so many buds on everything, I hope you’ll do us another tour once they’re blooming!

    @celcius_kkw that’s a gorgeous shade of yellow, perfect spring flower!

    @Fire those red roses are stunning, such a shame you’re not there to enjoy them! My mum had this beautiful climbing rose at their last house, every year it had buds from top to bottom, every year it bloomed while they were on holiday so only I got to enjoy it 😆

    @Fire That’s a real monster of an Etoile you’ve got there! How many years have had it for now?

    @Mr. Vine Eye Your roses didn’t look soo infested in the video but I suppose they can be hard to spot without getting in closer.. I am also going to set up a bug hotel this year and buy some ladybirds to set up a healthy predatorial presence.. the larvae I bought last year worked a treat but I don’t think they have successfully overwintered.. I have finally found the perfectly sheltered spot on my trellis just under my Etoile climber for the bug house.. it wouldn’t have been sheltered enough had my Etoile not quadrupled in since once last year!

    @newbie77 Yes in some ways I am starting to appreciate even more of what Marlorena says about the whole world of great non DA roses out there.. this sunsprite being somewhat superior to many of my DAs..

    @celcius_kkw I think I’ve had Etoile three years. First year it put on huge canes. The second it pondered life, few flowers. This year no new basals, all flowers. I put in two more Etoile on the left side of my big arch. Total over kill, but should make for a good jungle intersecting with Malvern on one side. Hopefully good height.

    The garden - about3x7  metres - is now pretty much surrounded with climbing roses. I have one spot left, for either a Malvern or Ghislaine. Probably Malvern. I will be removing a planter this summer and putting the last climber in after the alliums are done.

    @celcius_kkw, yes, so true about appreciating non DA roses. Last year i was surprised by how well Versigny rose performed. Julia Child and Super Trouper are my most reliable roses. My Austins are more of my roses for vase on desk than garden.

    Odyssey @zugenie , one of my favourites , early, healthy and scented too. The colour is unique among my roses, a very lilac/mauvy pink.

    Going to have to put that on my “to buy” list, I love the lilac/mauve roses!
