I'm getting rather envious of all these blooms, forgetting that June is rose time here normally. Here's the state of play Chez Woodgreen. Some of you were posting pics like this way back!
Marie Pavie, Natalie Nypels and Eustacia Vye, in suspended animation.....
Not an aphid in sight though. There are bluetits busy feeding young in a nestbox just above, and I sprinkled spent tea from teabags around them earlier in the spring.
Just a poor joke @Fire🙈 think human anatomical not botanical!

Lady Emma Hamilton’s first flush was badly delayed by the frosts and now we are well into 30º plus, it’s going to be a washout, they are all opening like this, sadly:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Wow, those roses are fabulous @Fire, certainly put the cabbages in the shade. I don’t expect they were labelled, were they?
@Imprevu my Lady Emmas and I have come to terms over the years. I was going to dig them up at one point as they are horrible in my heat, crinkled and horrid colours, but they can be very good too and the fragrance is strong and fruity. Your Guirlande is doing really well, you might not be able to pass though your door soon!

When people say "I don't like roses" I imagine they are thinking of an HT lollipop. I fail to see how anyone could object to a thing of wonder like those piled allotment roses, jostling with quince, apricot and peach trees.
@JessicaS ..oh ok, I had a feeling it might have been abroad, as it's not one I've seen here..
.. I really wouldn't know what they're growing in Amsterdam, it has a German bred look about it, but if you like, I could copy and paste your photo to HMF and ask on there, as there are several Dutch members who are very good with i.d.'s from their own locality. Let me know if you'd like me to do that, it's no trouble..
