Wow, those roses are fabulous @Fire, certainly put the cabbages in the shade. I don’t expect they were labelled, were they?

@Imprevu my Lady Emmas and I have come to terms over the years. I was going to dig them up at one point as they are horrible in my heat, crinkled and horrid colours, but they can be very good too and the fragrance is strong and fruity. Your Guirlande is doing really well, you might not be able to pass though your door soon!

The plot owner said the dark, wildy one was a rugosa.

The light pink one might be Fantin La Tour. I couldn't quite catch what he said. @Nollie

When people say "I don't like roses" I imagine they are thinking of an HT lollipop. I fail to see how anyone could object to a thing of wonder like those piled allotment roses, jostling with quince, apricot and peach trees.

..oh ok, I had a feeling it might have been abroad, as it's not one I've seen here..

.. I really wouldn't know what they're growing in Amsterdam, it has a German bred look about it,  but if you like, I could copy and paste your photo to HMF and ask on there, as there are several Dutch members who are very good with i.d.'s from their own locality.  Let me know if you'd like me to do that, it's no trouble..
