..quite striking isn't it @zugenie  and congrats on your first roses, and to others especially growing Olivia Rose Austin for the first time, always exciting to get the first blooms on a new rose, it's what it's all about and we put a lot of effort into it..
..thanks again folks..  lovely new roses @WhereAreMySecateurs  their potted roses are so good and I find those smaller pots really convenient and easy to manage.
@Nollie I think that's fun, I'd keep that providing it doesn't take over.Â
@endeavourlondiniumE32axz5M .. that's a pretty rose, may we have the name please? you look quite high up there too..
I’ll leave it be then newbie and Marlorena and let it open. I will keep a close eye on it though, I really don’t want the whole thing to revert to white!
Here are some photos of what looks like Mutabilis growing as a kind of tree rose at a house near me. There is the odd orangey bloom in there but mostly they are pink. It’s pretty neglected, never watered as far as I can tell - the house is only used for a few weeks in summer and the odd weekend..
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Nollie I am trying as a climber on a wire fence, but for the moment it looks more like a sprawled shrub. of course the blossoms get paler in the sun, but still marvelous, and such a lovely fragrance!
Not fragrant I'm afraid @murasaki but extremely disease resistant, lovely dark glossy foliage and large flower clusters. It would be perfect if scented.

Utopia looks marvelous, it's the first time I see this rose! Is it fragrant too? Conflicted info about that on the Internet.Â
