I don’t mind the incursions by deer, badger or fox into my plot as they mostly stay up in the wooded terraces above the house and garden, but wild boar I really, really object to! They are getting much more brazen and coming far too close to the house now. We have just plugged one hole in the fence but the grass is all torn up this morning so they must have dug under again 😡

Interesting, thanks @Fire. Yes I guess it depends on what you want, but EH sounds a winner so far. Looking good @owd potter - enjoy your trips both. Whenever OH suggests a jaunt away, I go into a minor garden panic, which is a bit sad really 😆
Thanks @Nollie, taking granddaughter to the seaside

@Fire Your red rose display is spectacular! Could certainly be in a magazine.

I’ve been really busy lately but still keeping up with everyone’s posts…no roses here yet but very close 👌

Thank you for the nice comments. Unfortunately it seems the best view of the red arches in flower is from the bathroom. 😆 Of course all the laterals flower upwards so it’s hard to see a lot of them from the ground. If the garden was longer, or sloped you might get a better view.

Most of these roses are far from the nose too and the scents don’t waft.

Interesting how scents like Jasmine and wall flowers are wafting now. Some blooms seem to, some not. I guess to do with oils and pollination.  Night bloomers have to.

I will have more bush reds blooming next year incl Edith Cavell, Munstead, Flanders Rose, Deep Secret and Ena. Some have good scent.

Sorry for rubbish typing. I’m on a phone.

@owd potter, thats is spectacular! very beautiful.

@zugenie, rose foliage is looking great. they are mulched well too.

@Omori, nice to hear from you. Hope all going well for you.

I too have been very busy at work, havent watered anything and havent done any weeding since march. Hopefully next month when roses are in flower, i will have a bit more time to enjoy the garden. Anyway I will have vases full of roses to keep with me at desk.
