    Good morning all :)

    Lovely first bloom pics..
    enjoyed Mr Vine eye's vid..
    Awaiting Marlorena's first bloom..

Got back to my garden and saw the real damage done by frosts from last week.. most leaves crumbled.. even my snapdragon which survived the winter has died.. it was freezing temps for 4 nights in a row here.. not so much wind damage except for few shredded leaves.. aphids are having a ball.. but resisting the urge to spray as I have spotted many lady birds.. Only if lady birds could multiply as fast as aphids.. I have not seen any birds in this garden as none of the neighbours have tree/ shrub in their garden..

A beautiful sunny day.. will enjoy my buds and spring leaf colour and all your gardens for now...

edit: to add that double delight/ chandos beauty had more frost damage than others.. other (new) HT's looks unaffected...

Similar story here, cooldoc. Things like fuchsias and salvias which had started to reemerge after the winter were killed off by the cold snap. Hope that's the last of it... have started hardening off seedlings today,  in a fit of optimism 🤞

I'm having to keep ripping out some of my geraniums, they spread like rockets.

anyone with any experience of bio-control for aphids?
was planning to buy some lacewings.. not sure if I should wait till they find my roses naturally.. and then again, will they stay once I release them? will having a bug hotel help??
I know, so many questions :#

On a positive note.. Emily Bronte was having a 'spa' day.. counted atleast 5 ladybugs on her...

@cooldoc, hope your roses recover from frost damage soon.

Still term break going on and no time for the garden. Will check everything next week if I get a chance from work.

    Lovely photos everyone.
