@Fire I loved looking at your foxes photo; but I wouldn't want them in my garden. I have foxes visiting and leaving their treasures buried in my pots almost every night.
Here are photos of first blooms of golden showers and golden celebration respectively.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
The rain managed to pass us by completely which I was most annoyed by! Maybe it will rain later instead, at least the mulch seems to be doing a good job of keeping the soil moist
Had a few deluges today. Ground well soaked. This followed by a warm sunny day tomorrow will spur everything on. Nice weather over the weekend too so hopefully have a few more first blooms from roses.
Not a great photo, it’s well out of reach. Had to use my telephoto lens and couldn’t brush the aphids off beforehand! But here’s my first bloom of this season - Malvern Hills gets the prizeÂ
How wise and calm the vixen looked. You are so very lucky to have these beautiful creatures, and you should feel honoured that the mother is happy for her cubs to play there in safety. Thank you for sharing.
the mum has mange and possibly an eye infection, or it might all one problem. You can see she has little fur on her tail and her eyes are inflamed. She may be so passive because she is ill.Â
Our foxes really cause few problems; cats are the real hummer.Â
Our foxes don’t seem to dig much up. But then I don’t really have borders. I occasionally find an egg in a pot. I think may be so many people feed them that they don’t need to go nuts hunting for food. Just a theory.Â

@owd potter
.. your garden is beautiful. I love Rhododendrons as much as roses, but can't grow them here like that..
.. the fox video was adorable, what is wrong with the mother? why is she not well @Fire
regarding rain , it is also super dry here and still no rain in sight the coming weeks.Â
