  • @JessicaS what is the rose at the top? It looks like a particularly delicious dessert.

I didn't photograph any roses last year and am enjoying these pictures. Love your top one there, too, Penny.

Took me a while to spot the rose there Owd, but the magnolia is indeed magnificent 😆
    Thanks @Nollie
I thought to make it a bit of a challenge.
Like those find the spaceman cartoons we used to get in the free advertising papers when I was a kid.

    Thank you @Marlorena
It is one of the highlights of the year for the week that it is at it's best, especially when the weather plays ball

Like @cooldocb I have one of those multi meters, they are not expensive.  I am finding that the peat free compost looks very dry on top but stays moist underneath. Having said that I watered all the pots yesterday,  and parts of the green wall were very dry, so it all needs keeping a close eye on.

  • Is it OK to ask for hosepipe and large flowerpot recommendations here, or should I post a thread somewhere else?🌹

I have hozelock, and 45 and 55cm plastic pots from b&q. Not the best quality but so far serving purpose for past 6 years.

My choice of planters is this - cheap and big (edited to add:when you have too many potted roses!). Use hozelock too, retractable one.

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

    I got a Hozelock, one that's non-kink..
Nice planters @Eustace I've not seen those before, lightweight, just right for some of us these days..
