@Veilchenblau, I forgot to answer your query. I feed liquid feed very dilutely when I water but I am not letting the roses get thirsty at all.
@Tack Thanks for the advice, I am watering the roses and I did give them a little seaweed based feed a couple of weeks ago…So will carry on. (never tried liquid feed  before so I’m still not sure as I normally only just do a slow release feed in the spring)
gorgeous Iceberg! i keep hearing how floriferous this rose is and your experience seems to confirm it! is it healthy too? is the fragrance detectable?Â
@murasakiSorry I missed your post when I replied earlier.Â
Thank you, it has repeat flowered very well for two years in a row now. It also fits in very well in a mixed border as it has quite a fluid shape to it. It had some very minor black spot on a couple of lower leaves last year and earlier in the season but I pulled them off and it seems to be very healthy otherwise. I cut it back by at least a half last year. I just love it. I have a number of white roses and I think overall it’s my favourite alongside Margaret Merril which has the better fragrance, but it doesn’t have as loose and flowing form as Iceberg.Â
'Dee-Lish'.. 'Elizabeth'.. 'Forever Royal'.. 'Lady of Shalott'.. 'Wilhelm'.. ..my little pond.. I have a little waterlily bud.. Nymphaea pygmaea 'Helvola'.. Ceratophyllum demersum [Hornwort oxygenator].. Butomus umbellatus [flowering rush].. Ranunculus flammula [lesser Spearwort].. Imperator 'rubra' outside..Â
oh I forgot one.. 'Bring Me Rain'.. err. Sunshine..Â
@Tack@Eustace Thanks. I consider replacing my noID red with a different rose, also red because I need something red in that part of the garden to balance 'La Belle Rouge' in a different part of the garden. I want something with full blooms, quartered/old-fashioned ideally, very floriferous and well-repeating. I would get 'Out of Rosenheim' but it's now out of stock in TCL. I don't think I like the HT-ish habit of 'Proper Job'. The blooms are nice though.
I guess I should just figure out a way how to put 'Florentina' somewhere there because I've wanted it for so long.
You’re welcome @Veilchenblau, advice from closer to home is usually best of course, tho the UK seems to be experiencing some of my challenges of late!
@Tack, ah, interesting your stripy has gone darker too. Oh and forgot to say, pup has her official name needed to register her pedigree, it was time for the S litter so she’s ‘Sylvie de los Montes de Algar’. We can choose what we like of course..
Incidentally, gardener Stephen Anderton says rehydrate parched soil slowly and thoroughly and fill any cracks with compost. He was talking about pots, but I think this is what I would do in the ground too. Maybe a decent, fresh mulch of compost around would also help now you have watered Wherearemysecs ?
I’m really liking this rose, HT-ish in habit but seems willing to put out decent blooms that don’t shrink in the heat. Lovely fragrance. Souvenir de Marcel Proust:
Buff Beauty’s blooms are currently a pinkish apricot and more rambler sized:Â
Ghislaine de Feligonde blooms also smaller but the deepest colour yet:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

Thanks, @Veilchenblau. Boule de Neige and Eustacia Vye are the two that take my breath away with their beauty and scent. Love all your whites.
