First bloom of the year! 'Natalija' / 'Eveline Wylde' A bit warped by aphid damage on the righthand side but it smells beautiful, a very orange citrusy fruity smell.
Lots of buds elsewhere! The yellow mountbattens characteristic red buds... Munstead wood and Crown princess margaritte Sweet Syrie Albertine and wedding day on the shed and fence at the back, covered in buds and gearing for a big display end May, early June. Foreground Sweet Syrie and Brother Cadfael.
I’ve had zero success with cuttings  but I haven’t focussed on them properly. I will next try cuttings grown on my kitchen windowsill. I need to keep a very close eye on them.Â
Tonight checked on the cuttings and one of them had rotted below the soil, so I’ve pulled it out. Fingers crossed for the other. But they were low chance to start with really.
I went out and took a close up of my Skylark. Looking forward to finally seeing this in flower. Planted bare root in Oct as it was a present from the OH. It's not with my other roses because I wanted to see it from my patio door Only a few small aphids, unlike my lupin ones that are like monsters!
I would love to see a time lapse of a rose blooming and see the bud swell as it amazes me how so many leaves for into the buds.
@Mr. Vine Eye thank you, sorting them will be my weekend project
@Eustace I’ve just popped it there temporarily until I decide where to put it, I couldn't put it in the ground at my last house but I think it will very much like the sandy slightly acidic loam here!

Thankyou.
It's like when you taken something out of vacuum packed packaging.
