We also look at the latest trends and must-have houseplants of the moment, giving the best practical advice on how to care for houseplants and showing how to grow your own for free."
That's a phrase that makes me shudder. Isn't gardening, be it indoors or outdoors, about what you like and want around you? I've never understood the need to follow trends, and there is no such thing as a 'must have' for me apart from food, water and shelter and the money to obtain them.
That's exactly what l thought as well @WhereAreMySecateurs. By all means have a programme dedicated to houseplants, but later in the year, even around Christmas time. I'm sure most people are flat out gardening at the moment, l just can't understand the thinking behind it.
I tuned in to watch it and within ten minutes had tuned out again. Dire, unless you really like house plants. I suspect it was something to fill the gap between Malvern and Chelsea perhaps?
Gardeners world... the clue is in the title.......a total nonsensical lack of thought to seasonal planning. Final nail in the coffin for gardeners world for me I'm afraid. Its the BBC chasing the audience figures down with their tick box, on trend mentality. Thank the gods for Carol Klein on channel 5!
