Huh … I hung two lines of washing out … had a coffee then got it all back in again 😂

Rain never falls on the righteous @Hostafan1
How can you lie there and think of England

    I'll get my brolly
    Devon.
  • I had my car valeted last week, a real treat for me, but after the drive to the Alps and back and horrendous muddy rain I thought it deserved it, sadly now you wouldn't know the difference, sandy mud all over it. Luckily the inside is still gleaming and smells nice.

Great to see some cheerful news for once.

Tearoom busy again today with non vaccinated people who haven't been allowed out for months. Lots of Dutch people. I am just taking their money and avoiding the conversation, one lady tried to explain her reasoning to me, but I just said I was too busy to get into it.

I am going to a meeting on Friday where our mairie is reaching out to the English community to offer aid and support post Brexit. I am really hoping that it will be a positive experience but in all honesty I am just hoping that the ex pats don't do anything too embarrassing, the last meeting was not a great success, people complaining about shops shutting at lunchtime and on Sundays and lack of English speaking shopkeepers..... the shame.  :open_mouth:

Nice to hear the grandson's happy @Busy-Lizzie

Nothing like impending visitors to spur home improvements on @Obelixx

Must get dinner on, chicken and mushroom risotto this evening.

Have a good evening all. :)

    Evening all.

Did contemplate washing my car today but knowing the dust is around, that was just the excuse I needed. Strange colour sky earlier.

Rhubarb crumble is nearly ready folks, so grab a spoon! No custard today though, just cream, so hope that’s not a deal-breaker.

Gave MIL’s puppy a bath today. Found a good way of drying him - rest the hairdryer on the floor so it blows warm air around and then you have one hand to hold and move him and one to brush.

    Take care folks.

Didn’t stop raining here. Popped into Ikea for a lampshade that’s come back in after months of being out of stock. Unfortunately, just had a quick lie down after lunch and didn’t wake till 6 pm. Very ashamed, got very little done today.

Cream for me too, please, @AuntyRach, much nicer than custard.

    I love your dog @Penny_Forthem.
